Excellent classroom to clinical ratios. Would liked to have attended additional training in additional modalities. Complete Computed tomography program would be beneficial.

I love being a CNA. I get to take care of people and get to know them. I love the hours I have and that I get every other weekend off. There are cons also for being a CNA but there are some at every job.

Very involved training from clinical 3 days a week and 2 classroom days. The staff is excellent and very hands-on. They make sure that you are ready for the work environment and the registry that is required of all technologists.

Pros

Good teachers, Positive environment, Good career preparation, Hands-on training

Cons

The room that the class was held in was too secluded from the rest of the campus.

Other comments

Typical day of training began in the classroom. The instructor met with us and she would usually start out with a lighthearted story or event that occurred since the last meeting. We would then go over basic foundations, have a Q&A which led to a group discussion and more related events. The most difficult part of training was the period prior to the hands on training all of us were eager to begin the actual work instead of hearing about it. The most enjoyable part of training was the small groups we were assigned too and finally being able to apply the knowledge we had gathered during the previous weeks.

Most of everything I learned was common sense. I learned taking care of people is easy if you know what your doing and put in time and effort. I enjoyed everything I learned and it was an amazing experience.
