It takes time being that you also have to apprentice for two years. I love the knowledge that I have achieved. Every year we have a state meeting to continue the education and that is also a great experience.

Pros

Good career preparation, Hands-on training

Cons

Must be self-motivated to complete program

Other comments

Easy to follow. Sufficient review tests to check for understanding. You must work 2,040 hrs in the optical field to complete program, so hands on training provides the practical experience needed to apply the skills learned.
