We had a classroom learning environment for 1 week and we had a clinical training program at a cardiovascular doctors office for a week as well, we had a week to get 75 sticks and I successfully received mine in 3 days and continued my week at clinicals for the remaining days in order to receive an ample amount of experience.

Its a fun & good part of the medical field to get involved with, but you spend a lot of hours running the halls of the hospital. Long hours standing & walking sometimes up to 12-16 hour shifts on your feet with only getting a break to sit down for lunch.

Cons

Did not get help finding a career

Other comments

Hands on learning, was very patient with each student, wish we spent more time on each section of the class. Felt rushed. Was not assisted in getting a job after.

I enjoyed this class. Chris taught it and it was easy to learn with the way he taught it. Hardest part was getting over my nerves and calming down and drawing the blood. I was ranked number 1 in the class

Flexible class hours, Good teachers, Affordable, Positive environment, Hands-on training

Cons

Needs better career services for students.

Other comments

It was an overall good experience. The instructors were pleasant and tried to make class fun for us. However, as I already stated, I believe the Phlebotomy Certification alone was not enough to help me get into the field. this school needs to establish better career services for its students.

Pros

Flexible class hours, Good teachers, Affordable, Helpful career services, Positive environment, Hands-on training

Cons

Lack of organization, lack of a consistent teacher.

Other comments

I liked that we learned something one day and took a test on it the next day. Then the next day we would start on something else and so on and so forth. It was easier to remember the materials we learned because it was fresh in your mind. But I didn’t like when we would have one person teach us for a while then they would switch teachers and they both taught differently. So it wasn’t a good thing in our favor as students.
