4.0

Pros

Good teachers, Helpful career services, Positive environment.

Cons

Not enough men’s haircut training.

Other comments

Good combination of hands on learning and class room learning. There was not enough men’s hair cutting classes. There should have been a little more hands on learning on real clients.

Pros

Flexible class hours, Good teachers, Good career preparation

Cons

Faculty outside the esthetics program and little to no knowledge of the field.

Other comments

Combination of classroom and hands on training. There wasnt much support because the school was based on cosmetology, not esthetics. If I had to do it again, I would choose a different school.

Was a great combination of both classroom and hands-on work. Also prepared you for a day to day salon. Great teachers in a lot of positive role models to follow behind. Which is important in this field.

Great class and great Leaning leader. The learning leader taught us the class and then we practiced the eyelash application on each other. Also, we got material to start getting clients.

Inconvenient hours, no flexibility, unprepared teachers, favoritism

There are far better schools in the area. This school takes an emotional toll on everyone who enters and is being investigated for misusing funds and overcharging for tuition.

Hands-on training

Cons

school closed, rushed everyone to graduate

The clinic classroom is a genius idea. If it weren’t for the hands-on experience with live clientele, I wouldn’t be where I am right now. It really gave you a feel for salon reality

By far the best Cosmetology School in Connecticut. I was surprised to learn that I enjoyed the theory work a little more so than the hands on. The curriculum is easy to fallow and guides you through everything you need to know to practice with knowledge and safety.
