Pros

Flexible class hours, Good teachers

Other comments

The teachers are great, the classes are good, some of the other students can be very frustrating. Since everything is typed in response to the teachers, there's a lot of chatter going on, some people can't seem to grasp the simplest things. But you get through.

Very informative and detailed. You set your own pace and had one year to complete the course. The pretests were very helpful in preparing for the final tests.

You must have patience. A lot of information to study, and take pretesting. The finals are long and take several hours. This is great information and will teach you a lot about pest control in food establishments.

Pros

Flexible class hours, Hands-on training

Cons

The counselors are responsible for students from many different states. It was difficult to impossible to receive help from counselors on establishing clinical sites.

Other comments

Purdue University Global offered online education followed by in-person clinical training (96 hours per semester). The most difficult part of the training was finding clinical sites that were not already contracted with local schools. The most enjoyable part of the training was being able to go to school on my own time. I was able to maintain a full time job while going through my schooling.

Pros

Good teachers

Classes are online and geared toward accommodating those of us with full-time jobs. I took two, one hour online classes a week. The professors were fantastic and available for any questions/concerns. I loved my classes! I highly recommend dedicating out 20+ hours a week to this pursuit, which was very difficult at first. But to fully complete and truly learn the coursework and to give yourself the best chance or earning high marks you really need to put in the time. There is a tremendous amount of reading and writing. It isn't easy, but it was the best thing I have done to further my career.

Doable NP program for working RNs. I have learned so much from working with other classmates who are like-minded with a goal to graduate and work on time.

Pros

Flexible class hours, Good teachers, Affordable, Positive environment

Cons

I would have preferred hands-on training because that is what I'm familiar with. But my online instructor was so good at the job until I quickly adapted to the online process.

Other comments

This training was very interesting. I learned some vital information about human research, such as: protecting the rights of the person/people being researched.
