It’s through the college program, but you can take an hour class online for $35. You watch a video and then take practice tests along the way and then at the end you take the final test and you get a certificate for 2 years but it more importantly shows you the basics of food handling safety.

Pros

Good teachers, Positive environment

Cons

A lot of things to remember.

It was very good. Work in the kitchen on even days so you get the hands on experience. You work in classes on odd days to learn how to make a resume, servsafe, and how to do math in the kitchen but in the classroom instead of the kitchen.

Wonder school for beginners to Hard Cooking Chefs, they take the time to teach and mentor. I was in the Ace program, this is a program reserved for food service industry professionals with minimum 8 years. It is a program that only a chosen few can get in.

Study, and use common sense. You must learn the danger zones hot foods end cold products, you must learn how long food can be stored after cooking or before cooking, you must know the cooking temperature of steaks rare medium well. You must use your cooking thermometer at all times to check the temperature of the food
