Vatterott College is currently closed in the Des Moines area. Radiology teachers were amazing and very helpful and understanding. Medical Assistant teachers were constantly changing so made it hard to learn.

Pros

Flexible class hours

If there was proper training it would have been better. The school was going downhill when I started. Still learned alot due to my previous knowledge.

Cons

Way to expensive and credits can’t transfer

Cost way to much for what you get, learn, and compared to other schools especially since your credits can’t transfer to help you move forward in your career

Vatterott is a “for-profit” school, and was quite expensive; much more than community college for example. The instruction provided was professional, for the most part, and post-graduate job placement and support was good. I felt the training should have included more lab time and real-world, hands on instruction. The culture there seemed more focused on pushing students through and not concerned enough with actually getting people qualified and ready to work in the field. I personally tried to make the most of every day in class and felt like I learned a lot of valuable information - at a pretty high cost.

Flexible class hours, Good teachers, Positive environment, Good career preparation, Hands-on training

Cons

Not worth the cost, Lack of career services

I had a great time with hands on training and online tests were very good and helped to study my books for those. I had taken a week in person training for medications, and also shadowed an individual whom had done all these for a long period of time.
