Great teachers and good in school experiences. I worked in at least 3 grade levels to find out where I liked teaching. After school I was on my own to get a job and that part was difficult.

As a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, I received specialized training and addition attention than other education majors. I typically felt my professors and the staff genuinely cared about me and the outcome of my education.

Great school to build lasting relationships that will go beyond the school year. A place where you can enjoy the mountains, valleys, and water spots. Even learning about early native American stomping grounds in the Carolinas

I loved attending school at Western Carolina University. It was a tight nit community, where you knew many familiar faces, but also were able to meet new people everyday. The teachers and classroom size were small, which gave a very hands on learning experience. The students were so friendly and helpful. The campus itself is beautiful, nestled in a small mountain town. The hardest part was group projects in multiple classes. Trying to get everyone to work together on different schedules was tricky.

One of the best teacher training programs in the nation. I wish I could have stayed there and my desire to return is making me consider working for a Ph. D.
