Staff was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. They were always there to help. They took the time with each student and days before they gave each student a full mock test to prepare them for the road test.

Good combination of classroom and hands-on learning. Watch the tutorial video first then answer the quiz. After passing the quiz an instructor works with you hands-on to help you put your learning into use in the real world. The video and quiz takes about an hour and a half. The hands-on portion of the training takes up to 3 and a half weeks.

Good school for someone to lean about trucks from the ground up. Did not know anything about the trucking industry or trucks in general, a Good luck start to a good career.

The trainers are very well qualified, everyday they did part of the class inside the class room then took us out in the truck to learn either to drive around at the school or the road. There wasn't anything really hard about the training, all the trainers was willing to work with you with any problems that may come up.

Great school, great hours that worked with my schedule. I like the hands on instructors, The DVDs are great, they have short wheel-based trucks with short 23' trailers for the drive test.

Was very good classroom and online training, the staff was somewhat friendly, the only issue is it seems like that the leaders do not have good communication skills with each other and every time you ask someone a question it was something different.

Great hands on the hardest part are learning the parts of the truck. The most important are staying focused and learning how to back up because other then driving that mostly you job is backing.

Good combination of hands on and class training. People are down to earth and understand what you are going through. Great place to get what you need done in a respectable time frame. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and helpful. They are thorough with everything you need to learn.

Great teachers/instructors. Course outline prepared all students to meet & exceed DMV’s tests. Actual driving conditions, freight p.u. & delivery to locations, etc etc.

Great set up for learning the class room time was quick and to the point. You get your permit in the first four days. And the next three weeks you are in the truck learning how to drive.

I have family members who have driven trucks their whole life. They coached me in every day experiences while driving. After researching jobs, I decided to get my CDL on my own. I downloaded a CDL Prep app on my phone and studied until I was confident to go test. I went to Coastal driving school for the driving test, then the DMV to get my license.

Easy to do, teachers are wonderful, good hands on training, a lot of one on one time, and also teaches you how to drive not just pass the test. Definitely worth the time/wait!

Great program and instructors worked well with students to teach them the steps to pretrip and post trip inspections, filling out logbooks and how to properly operate a tractor trailer.

The instructors were very informal and hands on with over 100 years combined experience in construction and heavy equipment operating. They made sure to let all the students know if and when they did something wrong as to not make that same mistake on a job site.

Long wait time, not enough trucks for the program.

The program itself was very easy. The class is simple and straightforward. The problem with LHCT is they don’t have the proper amount of trucks for the amount of students that attend the classes. Based on the attendance, they make a great amount of money, but they only have a couple trucks to put students in. When asked why there is a long wait, they mention that the DPS location has a long wait and won’t schedule you for an earlier driver’s test appointment.

Good hands on training. Able to get extra training if needed. School lacks coordination between the instructors. The schedule was not pre-set. Tractor trailers are in need of maintenance/upgrades.
