The training was awesome they trained me on how to pre-trip a truck and trailer on how to shift a manual transmission, on driving and backing. Also prepared me for my written test as well as my CDL Class A exam. I would recommend the school to new drivers.

Training was extremely inconsistent, I was constantly pulled away from training to work on other peoples' jobs that had nothing to do with mine.

I was lucky to even get one week of the three required weeks of training. I was constantly pulled away from my training to do other peoples' jobs that had nothing to do with my own or the training itself. When I did get trained it was handled well, pre trip was covered extensively and we got to practice each maneuver until we got it right and we did get some road time.

The school was great but my first driver trainer was terrible. He was the main reason I left.

The classroom training was great, the person I was given to train me driving after I had my license was an idiot. If you stay with the company for one year it is free. I didn't like driving over the road so I chose to pay for the training. It's your choice.

Get all the drive time possible. It is a good class. You make it through the class then you go to the DMV pass their test, which the class prepares you for, get your certification.

That was fast and it was fun and I had no experience whatsoever and he taught me everything I needed to know in 2 hours. Drove the truck and practice came back the next day took my test and passed. Would never recommend anybody to a truck driving school like CR England or Swift or if it's going to cost you more than $500.

The instructors were excellent in the classroom and with the hands on with the course. When they release you to a trainer the trainer did not let me do all the driving. Especially did not let me do any backing.

Learned a lot. Great hands on experience. The classroom was well maintained. The teachers could be bit more professional. Less cursing and more focused. But overall I highly recommend the class, even to seasoned drivers it was an eye opener.

Lack of teacher per student ratio and if spent more time would produce better safer student drivers

The program isn't bad they just could do a lot better of making the class sizes smaller and spending more time with each individual student also training in a manual truck instead of the automatics that they do because it's causing a restriction on the students license which is very difficult to remove an ultimately shrinks their job market but not the worst one I've seen by far.

I think that the staff took the time to teach everyone on an equal level basis. The grounds were also big enough and allowed space for everyone to improve and practice on areas that they felt they needed practice on.

My teacher was very good at the job he did. Good at explaining everything so that it made it enjoyable and not boring. Was trained in close proximity of other vehicles and buildings so helped with tight maneuvering and helped with city driving

Classroom and field training, have to have a passing grade on each to graduate. They put you in hotel rooms, paid for by school, get two meals a day.

CDL University was an awesome place to learn to drive trucks. The staff are helpful, patient and very knowledgeable. I would reccomend this school to anyone who wants to learn to drive.
