APEA provides a good and solid foundation for the most important concept you need for your certification exam. it does not provide ALL the information you need. Self studying and long time sitting on your own is the only way to pass this National certification. Study- Study- Study. Practice- Practice and more Practice.

Good combination of classes and good instructors. I learned a lot about treating and diagnosing different health conditions. The training culture encouraged incorporating evidence-based information in decision making. I took these courses while serving on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Classes were taken at night and on weekends. The atmosphere was professional and the teachers exceptional in their fields of expertise. The hardest part of the program was the high pace of learning expected in ten week courses of study. The most enjoyable part of the training was interacting with students form many different backgrounds and cultures.

An education leading to becoming a Registered Nurse is an arduous process. In addition to rigorous classroom coursework, there are clinical rotations with other demanding preparation (care plans) and an emotional/psychological toll as you encounter challenging patient situations.The professors at North Park were fantastic.

Lack of guidance. All clinical should be set up at the beginning of the program but this is not made clear. to students. You will have to find all of your own preceptor sand must network from day one to do so.

A lot of leadership turnover created a poor learning environment during a large portion of the training. Most instructors were very supportive and very helpful yet maintained extremely high expectations. The hardest part of the training was finding clinical preceptors followed by working in groups when not everyone was willing to work towards producing the best possible product.
