We had to perform phlebotomy on each other, was very helpful but I hate needles.

Classes were in the evening from 5 pm till 9 pm. We covered phlebotomy for 6 weeks. Hands on in classroom doing phlebotomy, ekgs, & injections and also in office clinical's with actual patients.

We had great instructors and plenty of hands on experience. We were able to work in live clinics and or Urgent care center to get real life experiences.

Had wonderful teachers, facility was very nice and clean. It was great and memorable place to learn. I learned many new and exciting things like medical terminology and computer literacy, typing. Made a lot of new friends.

My review on this is that the professors there are actually doctors (well at least my instructor was). Would work with us step by step on how everything worked from ECG’s Injections, blood draw CPT codes and ICD-9 getting is ready for the actual work field. I can actually say I learned a lot going to school there because everything I learned book wise and hands on wise I do it everyday!

Only tested at this center. All training was self taught or obtained by employment experience. Testing center staff very nice and set up at the center for test takers is an ideal environment.

Go over the study guide have a basic knowledge over billing and coding is a must know your lab valves microbiology was tough in the test it had several right answers but you have to pick the best one good luck.

Integrity was gained by interest and care for the program and people as the program and knowledge changed me and gave me insight. I was able to maintain a good gpa and was able to pass the examination tests afterward to prove my learning was honest and accurate. It was a great achievement.

The only con is the challenge I had about continuing to request deferment or forbearance of the school loans. Although can be very affordable to pay I just kept requesting the deferment. Now, I think I have maxed out the privilege of deferment and am needing to pay it back. So, debt would be the challenge once the course is completed for me in my case and for some other people, but not all.

A typical day of training as I can remember started off in the evening 3 hours a day and then for internship during the day hours were increased. It was a blessing that the job I had at the time was very flexible in hours so I was able to flip flop my hours at work to night so I could then go to school in the daytime hours. It was a tough choice to choose between a job I had not ever had which was telemarketing in sales and customer service and then choosing to completely switch over and learn a whole new field of work. I learned a lot about the different areas of the medical field in each class, billing, office, medical coding, lab, anatomy and physiology, etc. It was a very calm environment with many opportunities. The hardest part of the training was externship and unique unexpected challenges that are very real and how to handle and overcome those curves when also dealing with employees. The most enjoyable part of the training didn't happen until ten years later when I moved to a whole new city who gave me a chance to experience all I trained for. VERY EXCITING.VERY FULFILLING. Again, many many opportunities under one roof in the field of Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy.

The director of the program has changed since I attended the school. The program has gone through changes since i went there. I would honestly recommend the program at Montgomery community college first.

Good combination of classroom and hands on experience. Extra help was always available and never turned away. The teachers were very knowledgeable and helpful. They helped prepare you for the exams. They had good career preparation which was very helpful.

I love to learn new things. A typical day in training would consist of us learning the basics of the trade. We learned a lot to name but just a few things, how to draw blood. how to administer injections, read EKGs, put in registrations and to upload doc to the customers profile, billing coding, etc. The hardest part for me is the needles,that was taking and giving shots and then extern part. I worked while going to school so it took me forever to finish as it seemed and then most enjoyable thing for me was me finally finishing.

The RDA program is well outlined. I enjoyed learning at a mild pace, while still being able to hold a full-time job. This program is excellent, however, the college switched teachers often and didn’t have enough hands on materials. After graduation, the college was diligent about helping me find a job in my new field. And they did! I graduated December 8th and went to work as a RDA on December 26th.

Good combination of class and hands on experience. Class was one day a week. Having a Saturday class, help me keep my full time job during the week. You have to option of a morning or afternoon class.

The staff isn't prepared for how many students don't have teachers that stay on, aren't consistent and didn't help me just used me and then didn't even add any hrs for me which could help me get a better license.

The schooling I had was great but while I was in my last 3 months of school I saw the decline and quality in the lessons diminish. I ended up volunteering for added hrs and credit to help assist 15 students and they never recognized it afterwards basically got free labor out of me. It was horrible the treatment I got I worked for 3 months free no credit nothing more than my teacher writing me my own letter. Call the school they have no record.

Most of the teachers were good. The hands on part was awesome. I've learned a lot with one teacher we had. She took us under her wings and made sure that we needed to learn everything step by step. Without her none of us would have made it through an got the proper training we needed. Every school needs a teacher like her.

Excellent hands on and clinical labs. 3 month internship. They provide all the help you need with your studies. Set your on pace and change you life for the better. I got hired on my internship. Opportunity is knocking on your door when you complete your courses at Centura College.
