Kansas Food Handler Requirements

Kansas food establishments must have a person in charge during all hours of operations who is knowledgeable about food safety and the prevention of foodborne illnesses. To demonstrate their knowledge, the person in charge must earn the Certified Food Protection Manager designation through an accredited training program, have no previous food safety violations under their supervision and be able to correctly answer any food safety questions posed by a health inspector.1
