Vermont Food Handler Requirements

In Vermont, all food service establishments must have a person in charge during all hours of operations. That person must be able to demonstrate their competency in safe food handling and the prevention of foodborne illnesses. Competency can be proven with the Certified Food Protection Manager designation, by not having current or previous health violations and by answering questions posed by a health inspector.1
