Working at 1105 Media for close to 9 years, my experiences were mostly positive.
A typical day would consist of creating wireframes and developing microsites for vendor B2B partnerships, designing banner ads and email templates for various ongoing marketing campaigns, or working with my Creative Director on the latest style guide for annual conferences.
The management was fairly hands-off, which allowed for creative freedom, and the opportunity to explore and implement the latest Internet technologies.
There's nothing bad I can say about any of my co-workers. Many of them old cubicle buddies from my early days in Chatsworth, several of them I developed a wonderful working relationship from a remote location.
The most enjoyable part of my job is that I enjoyed being able to help colleagues with a design-related or technical issue, and satisfying they're needs. They always expressed they're sincerest appreciation, to which it was an honor to be called upon.
Freedom to explore new technologies
