LPN (Former Employee) – Newport NC – August 22, 2013
I worked at brand new hospice center and I had no idea that RN's could have such a low opinion about LPN's. Also, I was give 4 hour shifts , that is it. Not enough to live off of. Management needs to see what it is like to work just 4 hours and make ends meet....They did not care. Very sad.
A typical day at work starts with report, then goes quickly to team meeting with the CNAs that I work with. We discuss anything that is extra for the day, safety concerns, comfort management issues, and then we develop a plan of action.
I work with a fantastic team. We work together well. Everyone works. Everyone pitches in.
3 twelve hour shifts, 4 days off. Good healthcare benefits, 403B accts
No real lunch breaks, inadequate financial compensation
