So far so good. There is plenty of room for advancement and I couldn't be happier with my direct supervisors. They believe that work shouldn't consume your life, however, you won't ever have to worry about not being able to pay your bills. I can say when I first was hired into the customer service department, there was a lot of negativity stemming from some of my associates. However, in my time as a customer care advocate I never actually experienced those feelings. I will say in my opinion there are some aspects of the job that are a bit unorganized, however, that is to be expected in any start-up company. Just like any job, if you put in effort, you get rewarded. I moved up quickly into a new position. I also got a pay raise. I would suggest this job to anyone. It's not what you expect.


Very laid-back, not a call center, health insurance, the schedule, the clean ups


30 minute breaks, some of the other employees attitudes, only having 7 days PTO (not including the big holidays)

New Management/Pay Sucks

New Management made this company go downhill to the point mostly everyone quit even though they were dedicated for 3+ years and it not worth the pay for the work or respect here at 4Ocean. Most Days Your Being Sent Home Dued To No Work.

Fantastic Company with Good Workplace Culture

I've worked in many companies and 4ocean is hands down the best one I've worked for. The culture here is warm and friendly. Our benefits and PTO allowances are unmatched elsewhere. Upper management has open door policy and you're treated like more than an employee. I love working here and contributing to 4ocean's mission.

They are great company to work for

Everybody is very nice, there always making sure that there workers are happy. They also during lunch time that make sure the break room are full of snacks. They also make sure its fun place to work to bye having contests.

Great mission but

The CEOs are great and nice but your bosses you work under don’t care about you like they should. They don’t see where you come from and only care about making money and looking good to the CEO when they’re really don’t treat you nicely. It's emotionally draining and they tell you things you're suppose to trust but they're just two-faced. Get better managers and bosses and people will like to work for you more. Trust me

Fun workplace-start up culture

Amazing place to work, my only wish is more PTO and more opportunity to grow and learn. Good benefits, relaxed culture, easy dress code, young atmosphere. Other than that, the best job I've ever had!

Don't settle for a job, earn a career

4ocean has grown rapidly from a team of just a few in January 2017 and now to nearly 200 in September of 2018. With that growth, opportunities abound. In my 6 months I've been provided with a partner in HR, an open door from the executive team and feedback as needed. There are opportunities for improvement, as there are in every company, but the heart, and desire to become the largest ocean cleanup company in the world rings true in all that we do. Not every day is easy, but it is rewarding. Knowing that your job and company provide a purpose each and every day makes it infinitely enjoyable to come into work. We're afforded with competitive benefits ranging from insurance, matching 401k ample PTO and paid company holidays. There is a monthly all-hands meeting where you have direct access to the CEOs and their vision for the company. There is also an open door policy for any feedback. You can get a job anywhere. 4ocean is an opportunity to build a career with a company that has lofty goals of improving our planet.


The mission is admirable, the quality of your peers is commendable, and the pleasure you can take from doing a job well done is measurable.


Parking. Hopefully this will be rectified when the company moves to a new building in the future.

startup culture

The company is a startup and has that startup culture. The communication there is off and not everyone is on the same page. The internal mobility is extremely rare, as well as the stability and sustainability. The benefits were very limited and extremely expensive for a family. There is no paid FMLA either, which is not good.
