I applied several times. I had two interviews with Mgr. and the GM. It was less asking questions and more ….
1.) What is available? Part-time work is available with no benefits at minimum wage.
2.) Are transferable and previous skills accepted? Transferable and previous skills are not always recognized and only starting at the entry level.
3.) Community support for volunteers (i.e. students, parent’s et al)? Volunteers not supported.
4.) Permissible Requirements? If a person can pass a background check and Spanish helpful.
5.) Are requirements on a case by case basis?
6.) Is the assessment required? Obfuscates requirement for Assessment with a canned response and subjective in how it is used.

I had a key-holder (the people in the navy blue polo shirts) do the interview because the manager was overwhelmed with other things. He was super casual and didn't have that corporate attitude. He just confirmed my retail experience and availability. It was all very simplified.

Quick! I was shocked and the type to get nervous just before an interview. was expecting behavioral questions of some sort. But basically asked work history, if I’m comfortable cashiering/stocking, what my availability was and DONE :) pretty sure all 99cent interviews will be somewhat simple
