Fantastic onboarding process
Customs Broker (Current Employee) - Blaine, WA - July 12, 2021
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAs a new hire I received a very intimate and hands on course learning about A&A's company structure and culture that was very exciting and inspiring. Many companies talk culture but A&A walks the walk. Very attentive and passionate leadership team!
Pros
Great culture, passionate leadership team

Official response from A & A Contract Customs Brokers
July 13, 2021Hi and thank you so much for this review! I'm so happy to hear that your onboarding process was fantastic. We have a belief about hiring and retaining A-Players, taken from the great Keith Cunningham: Number one, interview rigorously. (Our interview process could be considered to be a bit long, but we want to make sure we're a right fit for each other.) Number two, compensate generously. (We recently launched our $20 Minimum Wage - everyone at A & A whether in the USA or Canada makes $20 or more per hour in their local currency. We also did a cost of living increase and are adding better benefits) Number three, onboard effectively. (This is your point - we are doing more and more with our onboarding to make sure you're ready to rock!) Number four, measure consistently. (We have weekly and monthly KPI's so we all know what winning looks like) Number five coach continuously. (We do 1 on 1's to make sure we're continuously improving) So, hearing your feedback is reinforcing that we are doing the right things. Thanks again, and welcome to A & A! GB
Its who you know to get advanced. Keep your comments regarding improvements. They ask and then ridicule you behind your back. The owner tries.
US Customs Release Clerk (Former Employee) - Blaine, WA - August 26, 2019
This company is typical of brokerages at the border. Work culture is tricky. Keep your comments to yourself work hard as you can. Mgt will dwell on negative. They ought to give some credit sometimesnd a pat on the back would be nice too.
