Its extremely easy work, but with the potential to get dangerous at times and the schedule is always changing, zero benefits, so basically you're a slave to the company that makes a killing off your hard work on their contracts and you get nothing in return except for just enough money to say you have a job. You're kept out of touch all the time from the customers you're actually contracted out to because the company doesnt want anyone figuring out what a killing they are making off your work. If you travel very far to work, you will probably be spending most of your check just getting to work. Expected to work out in zero temps at times and the uniform standards here are a joke, they dont even provide you with a coat or jacket. If i hadn't had my own personal warm coat I would have frozen to death. When I was hired and the girl was trying to find uniforms for me, the had a jumbled mess of clothing in bags that were 3 different colors and most should have been trashed long ago. Both me and my work partner had completely different color uniforms (blue versus green). I only spoke with management once. Basically they wanted to get rich running a company on half a shoestring budget. We were armed security but they expected you to buy your own sidearm and pay for your weapons license out of your own pocket. Not to mention what it cost in gas to travel 2 hours to where they held the 2 day class. But hey, I guess the instructor felt so bad seeing how you are getting screwed over that I heard he takes the students to lunch on the last day. I dont know because I quit before ever attending class. Then they had the nerve to get rude with me on the phone when I called to give my notice after I found a job making 10 times what i was making there. Guess they were upset they had lost another dummy making them rich. If you have ANY OTHER OPTION, DONT WALK, RUN AWAY FROM HERE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! GOD FORBID THEY GIVE YOU AN HONEST DEAL ON THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THEY ARE MAKING OFF THEIR CONTRACTS. Oh, if your in one of the positions where they provide you a utility vehicle to drive at work, be extremely careful because they're death traps that never get serviced or maintained properly. Once, our vehicle was dropped off after getting "fixed" and a mile down the road the oil plug fell out. One more than 1 occasion I brought my own personal utility vehicle from home to use because ours was broken down and they were so thankful I was allowed to put $10 worth of gas in it on their dime. One at least 3 occasions we used my partners pickup truck to patrol in just so we could get our scheduled hours and I felt bad because he was spending all of his check on gas so i brought my utility vehicle from home to save him money. They place less than zero value on their employees.

I worked for them for almost 7 years. It had it's ups and downs as all jobs do. But overall good company. The other guards sometimes have nothing better to do than act like a bunch of high school drama queens always trying to stir up trouble somewhere with someone. But the owners are good people, and good to work for.
