Good job
Security Officer/Dispatcher (Former Employee) - Norton, VA - June 2, 2022
Great job with minimum benefits and not much room for advancement. Great staff and hours. A good balance of work-home life if that's a major factor for you.

Easy work but extremely underpaid
Offroad Trail Security Officer (Former Employee) - Norton, VA - June 20, 2019
Its extremely easy work, but with the potential to get dangerous at times and the schedule is always changing, zero benefits, so basically you're a slave to the company that makes a killing off your hard work on their contracts and you get nothing in return except for just enough money to say you have a job. You're kept out of touch all the time from the customers you're actually contracted out to because the company doesnt want anyone figuring out what a killing they are making off your work. If you travel very far to work, you will probably be spending most of your check just getting to work. Expected to work out in zero temps at times and the uniform standards here are a joke, they dont even provide you with a coat or jacket. If i hadn't had my own personal warm coat I would have frozen to death.
When I was hired and the girl was trying to find uniforms for me, the had a jumbled mess of clothing in bags that were 3 different colors and most should have been trashed long ago. Both me and my work partner had completely different color uniforms (blue versus green).
I only spoke with management once. Basically they wanted to get rich running a company on half a shoestring budget. We were armed security but they expected you to buy your own sidearm and pay for your weapons license out of your own pocket. Not to mention what it cost in gas to travel 2 hours to where they held the 2 day class. But hey, I guess the instructor felt so bad seeing how you are getting screwed over that I heard he takes the students to lunch on the last day. I dont know because I quit before ever -

Not a bad company to work for. They will do all they can for you and your family if possible.
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Norton, VA - January 17, 2014
I worked for them for almost 7 years. It had it's ups and downs as all jobs do. But overall good company. The other guards sometimes have nothing better to do than act like a bunch of high school drama queens always trying to stir up trouble somewhere with someone. But the owners are good people, and good to work for.
Pros
They will work with you when problems arise.
Cons
Most of their posts (job assignments) are long hours (10-14 hr shifts), some in your vehicle even in dangerous weather conditions., Little to no overtime!
