Great program that keeps students on track with their education.

The focus is on education and behavioral improvement in a disciplined environment. All students succeed here. Students learn to be more social with others, gain self-confidence, while understanding the importance of their education. It takes a village to raise a child, and here at A & A Youth Community and Learning Center, your village is right around the corner. Your child is not a number, they are the future.

Director and staff very understanding and works as a team

Terrible place

Please think twice before coming here. Me and other kids who went here were left TRAUMATIZED at the ages of 6-12 and the media was brought to the place . You won't find out what happened unless you dig for the information. If you've gotten this far and you see this you can already see the news articles. If you need anyone to watch your kid, please bring them to another summer/after school program. Whose knows if they REALLY have changed who they are. They paint the happy picture of going on trips and happy faces of children but that wasn't everyday. I'm not stopping you from going here but once again think TWICE and read about what this place really does before coming.

A&A Youth Community and Learning Center

Being able to work at this establishment was truly a blessing to me. I was able to work the very first year the Company opened and watched the company grow into the community's favorite Learning Center. The staff is always eager to get better and to educate the children in many endeavors. This company helped me individually grow myself, as i realized my actions can not only effect myself, but those around me. My day consisted of going to work and starting off with tutoring. Most of the children there are between the ages of six through thirteen. I tutor in the subjects of Math, English, Social Studies, and Sciences. Those subjects I was proficient in myself while in primary schools. I then provide the children with recreational time, after their work is done. They could either play sports(basketball or soccer), card games suitable for children (gold fish, I declare war, uno) or get on the computer where every game on it was for educational purposes. After that the students work up an appetite so the staff and myself would serve them food that was given to us by the food company Sodexo, which serves all government based child care companies in the Richland County area of South Carolina. The students then are allowed to watch television for 30 minutes. At that point I am creating a schedule for the next day. What food to give them, whether or not they should take a trip to a museum, etc. Wait for their parents to come, then I go home.
