Telemarketer, but in person.
In Store Promoter (Former Employee) - St. Augustine, FL - July 14, 2019
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIf you work in one of the Home Depot stores in St. Johns county or in Duval county, your job basically consists of trying to get people to take surveys. When was the last time you genuinely enjoyed someone interrupting your day in order to get your contact information via a waste of time survey? Never? Didn't think so. You have to conduct a minimum of 40 of these surveys. Slow day at the store? People not receptive of you? Too bad. You're being penalized anyway. I would NOT recommend this unless you enjoy being a pest.
Cons
Technology never works, the pay isn't worth it, and you annoy EVERYONE.

Inclusive and fun work environment.
Assistant to the Marketing Manager (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - May 25, 2023
It is a small company where you are not just another number to them. The owners truly value you and the work you do. It is an uplifting environment where you are cheered on for your achievements. There are daily meetings to go over numbers and sales where you are also provided with information on how to succeed.
Pros
34 hour work week and relaxed dress code.
Cons
Three ten minute breaks per day.

Location - in a Mall. Alot of heavy young teen traffic resulting in shop lifting issues.

Fun But Serious
Employee (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - April 8, 2019
I have found the New Management to be open minded and open to suggestions. Not as stubborn as the past management team.
It's family owned and partially operated that way, that being said they treat everyone as if they were family with a few exceptions.Which is understandable.
The money and perks are good providing your willing to put in the effort, nothing is just given.
Pros
Family Owned, Money
Cons
Family Owned, No Advancement

Appointment Setter (Current Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - March 13, 2018
Awesome company. They push you to do better, thought me goal setting, and I have some great co-workers. The managers are tough but fair. I love knowing what I do have a positive impact on peoples lives. I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon!

No positive feed back from upper levels
Administrative Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - November 6, 2017
Upper level management will berate you when incoming cash flow is low and it is every one else whom is at fault, to include the office staff. Whom work at a base hourly rate.

no
Appointment Setter (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - June 7, 2017
Just no, no professionalism management curses and is rude, if you don't fit in with the long time employees you will be out. I was literally in a tiny room with another girl on old hardwired telephones with no computer and pieces of paper with customers infornation. Worst job ever.
Pros
would get off early if sales goals as team were hit, yummy cucumber water
Cons
a lot

Very productive
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - December 21, 2016
Very good company, well mannered. Urges you to prosper in whatever feild. Working in this specific feild allowed many to go out their comfort zone and have a jest hand look with communicating with each individual in a store.

Fun environment; bad management
Appointment Setter (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - February 27, 2016
The environment is fun. There are pump up sessions to get you going on the phones and goals are set for everyone each hour to boost your spirits. When you set an appointment, everyone claps and congratulates you. Truly team oriented.
However, management is pretty bad. The people in charge will make it clear that they don't need you, you need them. They will treat you like nothing more than a pawn making money for them. If you are not in charge, your opinions and thoughts are invalid.
Also, the people that work alongside you are a bit two faced. Bullying and whispers behind your back are what you will find here. Mostly from the people that been there for a while.
Overall a good job if none of the above stuff bothers you. The pay is great & you even get bonuses for setting a certain amount of appointments. Just don't expect to be treated like a human being there.
Pros
Good pay, flexible hours, fun environment
Cons
Bad/rude management, short breaks

Watch your back
Does it matter? (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - February 17, 2016
You can be there for years, do a great job, have them tell you you're irreplaceable. Unfortunately, everyone is replaceable... the owner will make this clear. In my time there, I saw employees fired for anything from being too weird to deal with, to low production, to simply realizing the employee is on a timeline with the company and they decide they want them out. Sometimes, the employee would call a cop to come up and come into the office with them since they were afraid to deal with the owner.
The departments are segregated and this causes miscommunication on important issues. (I mean, marketers can't even use the same bathrooms as the sales guys, and if sales reps are in the kitchen, forget about your cup of coffee...you have to wait until they're outta there)
It's a great place to work if you're okay with lying to clients, referring people to customer service agents who sleep on the job, and sink or swim training.
The perks come down to company retreats that will have an open bar (but beware, the retreats are only open to those who do well). The owner is big on having fun, but only if money is being made, if it's not, the office becomes a pit of despair.
Pros
all inclusive retreats
Cons
expensive healthcare, poor management, department segregation, poor communication

Total Scam
sales associate (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - December 9, 2015
This company will promise you the world and leave you out on the street broke. Compensation is based not on how you sell but how good a credit score the customer has. The worse their score, the less your commission check will be, and that is if they even pay you at all.

Cool place to work.
Surveyor (Current Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - May 29, 2013
My interaction with customers is great. Hardest part of the job can be rejection. But I have learned to smile and move on the next person.
Pros
Learning of the products that I endorse.
Cons
Not enough work hours.
