Stressful work environment with toxic management.
Safety Specialist (Former Employee) - Gallatin, TN - April 28, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWhat is the best part of working at the company? Getting to shop from the floor and getting to know the floor associates. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Cooperate is by far the most stressful. The other side of the glass doors is a whole world of judgment and challenges no one should face in a workplace. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Toxic, toxic, toxic. They do believe they are better than you and will hold promotions and money above your head to get you to cooperate.

Entry-Level
Leadership/Management Member (Former Employee) - Scottsville, KY - August 31, 2023
Entry-level work environment in a competitive market. Has potential, but overall very negative employment experience. Good opportunity if you remain to yourself and focus on what you were hired to do, but many untrustworthy coworkers ( snakes) so watch your back. Great incentives and discounts, but overall the culture doesn't support such incentives. Best of luck to you and the company. There were a few seasoned colleagues but don't expect it to be a "corporate" environment.
Pros
Employee programs, discounts, entry-level and second chance
Cons
Nepotism, lack of structure and experience and job security ; non appreciation

Innovation drives every aspect of this company
Business Development (Current Employee) - Gallatin, TN - March 28, 2023
A&C truly lives the core values set by leadership. Innovation, fun, and growth are the three that are put into practice the most. There are plenty of opportunities for growth, as they try to hire and promote from within. They have developed work training programs in partnership with nonprofits to help lift people from poverty, offer free lunch 3 days a week to all employees in their Gallatin headquarters, and have an employee discount that enables employees (and their families) buy clothing, groceries, electronics, home decor and more for less than half of retail.
Pros
Free lunch, employee discount, and growth

Great and growing company
Executive (Current Employee) - Gallatin, TN - March 28, 2023
This company has improved so much over the last couple of years. Management's investments in benefits, training, and culture are praying off in so many ways. So proud to be part of the team.
Pros
Monthly Car Giveaways, 401K, free lunches, increased PTO, healthcare benefits
Cons
Dynamic and growth isn't for the faint of heart.

drama filled
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) - Scottsville, KY - January 24, 2023
the managers and HR are very biased towards certain leads and let the leads make decisions for them. it is very drama filled and you probably won’t even get hired if someone there doesn’t like you.

Fun place amazing people but pay sucks
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Gallatin, TN - November 9, 2022
Subject line sums it all up! Great people by far. Point system is the best. The pay is horrible for the amount of work done so in there. Overall though, I'll definitely go back if they wanted me to.
Pros
The inventory we are able to purchase and the people above all
Cons
Pay

Its not that great of a place to work
Assistant General Manager (AGM) (Former Employee) - Dalton, GA - August 21, 2022
Everyone one is always complaining about the pay because you don't get paid for what work you do or fairly employees do what they want to when they want there's no reason to listen but a good job for the first timer or people in high school
Pros
Free lunchs at times
Cons
Pour Management

Really easy job, just show up and do it. That's about it!
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) - 801 steam plant rd - March 3, 2022
The company is ran very poorly! People who don't deserve to be in management positions are in them, your hard work rarely goes noticed. The pay is really bad for what you have you deal with. The team leads rarely train anyone new. They make the regular warehouse workers do that. That goes back to not being paid enough. You can't support a family with the weekly paycheck.

Confusing
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) - Gallatin, TN - January 17, 2022
Start up company that will hopefully keep going in the right direction. Same issues as any other place does but no consistency or accountability. My supervisor never really did any training with me.

Backstabbing, underhanded and shady!!!
Supervisor (Current Employee) - Gallatin, TN - December 30, 2021
The managers don't know jack and don't communicate with you at all. Toxic environment! They fire good people and keep the bad seeds for way to long. I use to love working there, but since we have new management it blows.
Pros
They pretty much will hire anyone.
Cons
No accumulated time off, no paid holidays and they could careless how long you have been there.

Cold in the winter, hot in the summer
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) - Gallatin, TN - October 23, 2021
Basically you just sort boxes of various store returns and reprice for the companies discount store. Very old warehouse with no heat or air. Grocery area is very dirty. Management has favorites who pretty much do what they want. The pay is not very good but they do allow you to purchase items for practically nothing.
Pros
Purchasing merchandise
Cons
Everything else

Company culture toxic.
Manager (Current Employee) - Gallatin, TN - September 2, 2021
Simple as that. Company culture is toxic. Gossip, hate, malice, backbiting, even at the highest levels of leadership. No one is happy at all at the company. Theft is common and firing is commonplace.
Pros
Employee discounts
Cons
Everything else.
