Chance to meet a wide variety of people from many different businesses. Covered Southeast Idaho to Central Idaho to Wyoming. Driving could be difficult on slick roads. Driving a box truck at night has obstacles.

It isnt a bad place to be.

It isnt a bad place to be, but can be unorganized and hectic. The rules for the drivers can be annoying because it seems to be coming from someone who sits behind a desk and doesnt know the reality of being behind the wheel.

A&I Distributers is not a company I'd recommend. The overall rating would be a 2 out of 5..

Poor Management. No room for advancement. Pay is low. Employee turn around rate is high. Employees feel undervalued, overworked, and taken advantage of.

Business only

They don't care about your family needs. They only care about making money. So if your a single person with no kids and like being a slave. This is the place for you.

It's ok

My immediate boss is great and if it weren't for him I would have left a long time ago. The corporate management style is overbearing and often hostile. That being said the company has excellent health benefits and retirement plans. The work is hard physically, but not back breaking.

Pros

Health plan, retirement.

Cons

High ups in the company are bully's, and have terrible communication.

Bad Management

Boss runs hot and cold. Sometimes he is singing, sometimes he is cussing and yelling. My job was very hectic and detail oriented. I did an amazing job for this company.

Productive Warehouse work

We distributed automotive parts to stores across the valley. Pulling tickets for orders all day, and loading trucks around 11 and 4. Days were long, and physical.

Work here if you want to feel like a nobody

If you enjoy being talked down to, disrespected and not appreciated this is the place for you! Management either thinks you do not have a brain or that you do not know how to use it. Even some of the other office staff function that way. They put out memos addressing issues but do not enforce them. They do not appreciate employees nor do they recognize work well done. Very much a place of favoritism. If you are a man you will most certainly make more than any female in the same position.

Pros

Flexible around personal appointments, pretty good medical plan

Cons

Only two weeks vacation a year your entire employment., If you are female you get paid less than male counterparts even if you have more experience.

One of the worst companies I have ever worked for.

This company is toxic from the top down. Worst company/job I have ever worked. I they continue to make the same mistakes over and over. It’s a revolving door of employees with people leaving every few weeks.

Pros

None.

Cons

Everything.

Terrible place to work

A typical day at work at A & I, on Mondays and Fridays very stressful, and the rest of the week pretty easy as long as you stayed out of the main part of the office, I learned a lot about computer programs and automotive products. Management was horrible they never took care of the serious issues throughout the building. The workplace culture was horrible as well, the only thing that kept me there was my customers. The hardest part of the job was typing while talking on the phone. Most enjoyable part of the job was my customers.

Pros

Customers

Cons

Bullies

decent place to work

Don't take anything personal. They don't have much consideration when it comes down to treating others equally. There was an extremely high turn over rate when i was there a few years ago but i have no idea what it is like now.
