Educational experience in the health care field
Billing Clerk (Former Employee) - Proctorville, OH - September 30, 2015
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI learned how Ohio Medicaid works
Enjoyed being around co-workers
Hardest part was working with no billing software for a company with 600+ patients
The most enjoyable part was managing those patients with very little loss.
Pros

Cons
Family owned business

Plenty of overtime, ability to work on your own
Home Health Aide (Current Employee) - Ironton, OH - September 4, 2022
Awesome place to work, Great owner who loves her employees. Locally owned , so they care more then a corporate company does.. Plenty of hours and overtime and ability to create your own schedule

A horrible place to work
Administrative/Billing Clerk (Former Employee) - Proctorville, OH - March 3, 2020
I wouldn't work there if it was the last place on earth to work. They commit medicaid and medicare fraud on a daily basis. They neglect their patients and their field staff. The family causes more drama and problems than anyone.

most enjoyable part of the job
SRNA (Current Employee) - Ironton, OH - January 14, 2020
the most enjoyable part of this job is being able to care for people that have a big heart, most are very welcoming into their homes. i personally haven’t ran into someone who wasn’t respectful about the stuff you do for them if you love elderly people then you would love doing this!

Unfair working conditions
Home Health Aide (Former Employee) - Proctorville, OH - January 4, 2017
A&L Home Care and Training Center in Proctorville Ohio, are nice people to get along with. But don't get me wrong they have some cons about the job. The pay sucks, the benefits stinks, and the commute is just to hard.
Pros
Paid miliage from clients
Cons
Commute, hours, benefits

Excellent co workers
Bookkeeper (Former Employee) - Proctorville, OH - August 28, 2013
Excellent office personnel and a good group working under my directions. I went to work for this company when it was barely 2 years old, went from 75 employees to 400 during my employment. I received so much experience during my employment because I learned it from the ground up. I have worked in all areas of the office, researched an implemented a lot of the software programs and assisted in management decisions. My only problem with the company was the owner had all of her family working in the office and they received too many privileges my co workers did not. The owner was never there and tried to micro manage from outside the office. This was frustrating. My duties were challenging which made them rewarding to me.
Pros
Health and life insurance, vacation
Cons
No retirement
