Over the road, production type work

To be honest I would not recommend this job to any person who is not physically fit and close to family. This job requires one to be on the road from one to four days a week. The job entails loading racks of flowers to this and other states. It also requires retrieving, disassembling, and stacking the racks, which weigh between 25-80 pounds a piece.

Pros

Decent salary for drivers, decent salary for helper if 100 racks or more are acquired each trip.

Cons

Long periods of travel, sometimes rack quota cannot be me

I drive flatbed tractor trailer daily

I am a percentage driver so what I make is based on what the load pays. I check, chain or strap down my loads, tarp them when needed, then deliver them where the paperwork says to go. I am also on elog so I am familiar with those.

Pros

They have allowed me time off when needed for family issues

Cons

Low pay, as the loads taken don't pay much. Cannot provide for my family as I used to before driving truck.
