Working at A & N Convention Services: 2 Reviews

Some jobs are a waste of time, you're called in to work for an hour and half the day is gone. Some jobs take longer to drive to than to set up, and some you're working for 20 hours and have to be back to work at 6 am the next day. Poor wages, owner was tight with money. Can't count on raises in any year, and no benifits.

Loved the owners/management, the employees and the job itself!

Office Manager (Former Employee) - Saint Cloud, MN - August 6, 2018

A typical day included opening and closing the office and addressing needs for the clients, i.e. prepping & filling orders for clients, calling clients with confirmations and/or questions. Arranged shipping logistics with clients. I learned the fundamentals of the job from the owners/employers, who knew what they needed and trained me well. The owners were the management, thus having a vested interest in helping me to succeed at the job. The environment was an "all hands on deck", during the busiest times and all responsibilities were shared by everyone. Hardest part of the job was juggling many balls at one time, but that was also the most enjoyable part of the job, along with the interaction with other employees and clients.

Loved the interaction with others.

Cons

During busy times it could be challenging to juggle many things at once, but that was also energizing.
