They have great clients to work with
Intervention Specialist (Former Employee) - Nampa, ID - October 2, 2020
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedJob Consistency is lacking in most areas. Schedules are constantly changing and some kiddos are getting new staff daily which makes it hard for both staff and clients. Each supervisor is constantly providing different information to staff about company policies. Gossip is strongly prohibited, but the clinical supervisors are known to do this more than most staff. They can make staff uncomfortable and treat people as disposable offering little help that can be applied on the floor. The wear and tear on your car is horrific and if a child has an accident, gets sick in, or damages your car, they will not offer any financial assistance.
Pros
Most co-workers are great, All clients are fantastic to work with, Fellow staff are great help when it comes to working with new kiddos.
Cons
Constantly switching staff up on kids, Pay is done by billable hours, If a client cancels and there is no one for you to cover with, you are out the hours, supervisors are not kind

Horrible Workplace
Intervention Specialist (Former Employee) - Nampa, ID - January 19, 2021
It’s very obvious the company just adds clients to get more money, they don’t care about staff and client relationships, they don’t care about staff, talk down on you, lots of gossip and supervisors all tell you one thing different from the other so your always the one that’s wrong, there’s no support, no training, no set schedule. You could be scheduled 7:30-6:00 pm and only be paid for 8 of the hours because you aren’t paid when a kid has speech or in between clients even when the drive is 4 5 minutes plus.
Pros
Your coworkers! Great support because you’ll be miserable together.
Cons
Everything.

I miss working for A& R
Habilitative Interventionist (Former Employee) - Nampa, ID - November 10, 2020
I miss working for A & R casement. The owner had an excellent understanding of the business and really followed up with staff and clients making sure that services were provided approximately. If I (as an interventionists) was short of hours, I could call in and I would have another client that same day. If I had need for some temporary need for extra work that was also available. I really think A & R is the standard for all other companies to live up to.
Pros
Helping staff be successful
Cons
To far away from me

Don't work here
There aren't enough words to describe how awful it is to work for this company. They are a care provider for mentally and physically disabled adults among other things, but they don't seem to care about their clients. The clients I work with are constantly missing their rent payments because A&R can't seem to keep all the payment schedules organized. I was never trained for anything at this company, luckily I had my CPR and First Aid certification taken care of. I never see management unless I'm picking up my paycheck (they don't provide direct deposit) and when I do see them, they act as if I haven't been here for 2 years, more like 2 weeks! They schedules are so random that I find it stressful to look at my next week's schedule because I have no idea if I'm going to be working in Nampa, or Eagle. They have also been recently offering gift cards to employees that take shifts that the company can't fill! The organization and care at this business is non-existent.

Disappointing and inconsistent
Supported Living Assistant (Former Employee) - Nampa, ID - June 25, 2018
Corrupt , immature , dishonest .. This could be a really neat and productive company but the office and administrative staff are jokes and can not be trusted to do what's best for the clients well being
Pros
Clients are sweet
Cons
They fluctuate so many different staff through all the houses for no reason, . The clients never get consistency, They are distrustful of any promise of stability

Love it
Habilitative interventionist (Current Employee) - Nampa, ID - January 25, 2018
This can be a very stressful job, but everybody that I work with helps to make it better. Great clinical supervisors and upper management. I love working with the kids, and I enjoy every day. If I struggle with a kid, there's a great support system to help figure out how to make it better/easier. The pay is really great, but the benefits aren't the best. It's a smaller company though and they do the best they can.
Pros
Great people, great pay, wonderful work environment
Cons
Benefits, no paid time off

A Reasonable Place to Work
As far as being a caregiving facility, A & R has been very reliable for me in the short time that I have worked for them. I find it difficult to think of anything bad to say since they have never given me grief.
As a caregiver, I am responsible for the safety and well being of the individuals I tend to. I work in their homes and aide them in daily tasks in hopes that one day they can function on their own.
I have worked in this field for nearly two years now and I find enjoyment in working with people. The management, from what I see on a daily basis, is very organized and thorough with the things they do.
I have a close bond with the other ladies I work with at this particular house. I have noticed that I am rather shocked and saddened when one of them leaves.
There are plenty of obstacles to face, but it is rewarding in its own way.
