Administrative Specialist
Administrative Specialist (Current Employee) - Greensboro, NC - March 21, 2021
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAsk multiple questions before you accept a position. Once I came into the position I didn’t have no space (thinking I would have a space but wind up at a receptionist desk). Professors are very needy and rude. They’re not empathetic about certain issues. Make sure you know what your job description is. Also everyone gossips so you don’t know whom to turn to for help.

Professors are too much to handle

Resources are readily available to develop skills
Postdoctoral Research Associate (Current Employee) - Webb Hall - November 16, 2021
There is a solid relationship between the faculties and the students. The environment is very conducive for learning and there are several activities going on each day to help students stay focused.

And she say University is a university Bountiful education responsibilities and major achievements can be obtained if you're willing to do it in the work as an employee it's a family-friendly environment most of the time don't get me wrong every place has its glitches and clicks but it's where you choose to stand and how you stand as a person of integrity and directions

Security Officer (Former Employee) - Greensboro, NC - June 21, 2018
It was an okay job for the time being. They offered me one job but when I got hired I stood in the cafeteria or one of the eatery places. I never was given the job I was hired for instead they laid me off when the kids went on Christmas break.
Pros
Free food
Cons
Lied about the job I would work

To many demands on your time outside of regular work hours.
Employee (Former Employee) - Greensboro, NC - October 30, 2017
Apparently A&T university does not understand that their employees have lives and responsibilities outside of working hours. At no time during the hiring process was I notified that it was an expected requirement that I work evenings and weekends on a regular and weekly basis. I understand the work needs to be done but I do feel somewhat deceived considering the lack of transparency. I no longer work there and I am very glad to have my evenings and weekends back. This is not a sustainable work plan for employees. I feel the lack of understanding and support leads to high turnover and low employee retention.

Office Assistant, Memorial Student (Former Employee) - Union, NC - January 15, 2015
Helped me gain experience in an office setting. My supervisor was great! There were no hard parts. If I felt something was difficult I could always go to my supervisor and count on her to help me.
