I have worked at A and Z for almost 3 years. It has been a good enviroment to work in and the management there is acceptable. It definitely is a different environment but there is good teamwork.

Great Company

Great Company. They have flexible work hours so you basically can make your own schedule. Everyone is nice. They don’t hassle you if you forget to clock in. You just tell them and they’ll adjust your time.

Good people to work for, good clients

The company has a opportunities. And good locations not too far from my house. And also giving me the hours that I need. But I got covid-19 from one of the clients. I was happy to get placed some where to my home and the client was very nice.

Pros

Love being a healthcare aid

Cons

I don't like to drive to far

Home health care

A & Z is a Home health care agency located in Lansing, Illinois; training is done onsite same day as the interview. You have to watch about twenty videos

No matter how good you work, you rarely get a raise. Looking for another job.

Pay sucks for what I do! Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do and I love to go into my clients home and bring a smile to their face, but the pay sucks!!

Fun place busy practice

Patients are received at home for skilled nursing, detailed health education, lifestyle modification and Caregiver training. As a skilled RN I would; assess vital signs and blood pressure; assess patient's cardiac & pulmonary systems. I would also observe patient for pain and discomfort; assessed hydration status and observe and evaluated level of activity/ exercise tolerance. The skilled nurse is also expected to evaluate food intake and compliance with medication administration and dietary restrictions and document patient's complain . Patients will also be instructed about fall prevention, medication side effects and their disease process. Care is always coordinated with the primary care physician to develop an effective treatment plan and report any changes promptly.

Pros

Satisfaction

Cons

Security and lack of health insurance
