Great Company to Work for.

Mover/Packer (Current Employee) - Des Moines, IA - July 3, 2020

Pays Weekly, if you are able to handle the long hours some days and labor it is a great job where you can make a lot of money. Owner is a great guy and very involved in the business, they have very nice equipment and overall the business feels like a family. Also on the job you will meet lots of people, learn a lot of things and sometimes customers even give generous tips.

Pros

Lots of tips from customers, good pay, good hours. Travel.

Cons

Long hours, labor.

Hope to work for this company again. Company is getting bigger with new trucks and vans. They have big or little jobs for people to work various of hours.

This is a great independently owned business to work for. They never play with your money always paid on time. The owner cares about the customers so you must be a customer service type person as well

I enjoyed working at A-1 Movers very much . Fast pace and new faces every day. Friendly co-workers and great pay. If you can stand the heavy lifting and hit summers with long hours it's the right job for you.

Having to wake up to go to work to be yelled at and have things thrown all the time , no one trains they just throw you into a position then get mad, They don't want to follow rules and regulation put forth by the military , they want to make there own .

hard work nut good if tip

i loved it they just didnt have enough work for me i like to have a constant job that was more of a weekend job. it mainkly hispanics but worked in my favor cause im bilingual.the manager is supporting he will ahow u how to do it and help u throughout anything he has a good spirit and attitude
