Productive and fun

Caregiver for Elderly (Current Employee) - Park Ridge, IL - January 15, 2020

The greatest place to work. They are very helpful and family friendly. They make a point of putting family first. The most fun I have it when I am with my clients making them feel loved and well taken care of.

As a Medical Assistant at A-ABIDING Care, You worked with co-workers who were loving And compassionate as well as knowledgeable. Ordering Medical Supplies and equipment was Brought to our clients in a timely fashion. Our RN nurses were available 24 hours a day to Answer Medical questions and assessment. Clients were in a geographic area that was easy To travel to in a timely manner.

The lack of pay and to often going into areas where I was the only person of color and them not treating is seriously was a big problem for me accept.

was not a bad place to work as a CNA

Under different management. When I got my LPN license, I decided to get back to this company and found that this company is not good to work for anymore: they told me that they need LPNs first, but after training I had to face that they are trying to make LPNs working as CNAs with promising to give you LPN position in the "future." Can't trust the management anymore!

Flexible job in home health care

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to go to a client's home to assist him or her with activities of daily living. You will submit time slips and nursing notes in a timely manner. You will create and maintain positive working relationships with clients and their families. You will call the office staff if you have any questions. This review will not self-destruct because the internet doesn't work like that.

Poverty wages, no opportunity for full time status

Profesional, comfortable environment

I enjoyed the variety at this position. I went out on marketing/sales calls, tracked my marketing efforts and created marketing materials. My co-workers were very well educated in the industry and professional. I learned about different medical situations from our meetings. It was sometimes difficult to find new ways to market our services.

Company provides good training and updating of medical issues as well as health management . All the cases where preceded by a complete orientation before start the service.

I had one assignment since working for Abiding Care, and they really know how to match the caregiver to the client. They had made me feel important as well as taking my opinions into consideration.

very caring and respectable company

Cons

insurance is not provided for p/t employees and the hours fluctuate very frequently, but that is to be expected for a temp agency.
