I don't work here anymore

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
I don't work here anymore. When I did work here, I was kept busy with several different clients who needed help in their homes. The worst part of the job I had was one of my clients had me shovel her wheelchair ramp so she could get to the curb to curb transportation to her doctor's appointment the next day. I pulled out my back really bad, but it didn't stop there with the same client. The next couple days, she had me flip her mattress on her bed, then wanted me to clean her ceilings fan.

Horrible management, horrible pay, poorly treated

Tgere were no managers that would help the employee when asked. No training provided for any type of job. Poor pay for the job entitled. Unfair treatment of employees.

Great place to work

I was the first employee in the Akron office they quickly and efficiently excepted new cases and clients based on my location which was quite a distance from their office they were accommodating to my schedule and the rest of the staff who worked in the field

Fun helping taking care of people

I was taking care of people in their private homes and made sure that they were in a safe environment, and also took their medications as prescribed by their physician.

flexible schedule and caring staff

They were always willing to work around my schedule. They tried to keep you close to home and if you had an issue they was always will to listen and help solve it.

Not a good place to work.

Very low pay and a lot to deal with. going to different peoples homes is not easy and you are put in a vulnerable situation. You can be over worked for little of nothing. This is the way it is for most home health aid jobs.

A good place to work

Co-workers counted on me to keep them updated on my patient. My patient counted on me to be there 6 (sometimes 7) days a week to attend to his needs, order meds, run errons, take him to the doctors and clean house and laundry. The hardest part of my job was when he passed away. The most enjoyable part of my job getting to know and help my patient.

Pros

getting to know a very special person

Cons

sometimes heavy lifting
