Great company to work for with good benefits. The compensation structure needs to be adjusted. Employees should make more for their sales and service expertise.

Integrity issues
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Cuyahoga Falls, OHJuly 18, 2019
Att has integrity issues, employees at the Chapel Hill location are a hot mess, etc etc. Nuff said. Customers are constantly bombarded to get tv and internet services. If you don’t meet your goal, your job is threatened.

Great pay but at a cost
Retail Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Bellingham, WAJuly 18, 2019
Great benefits and pay but lack of communication from upper management causes a disconnect for employees. Goals are hard to meet and often consequences of not meeting these goals are held over you.

While working at at&t from 2005-2012 I enjoyed it. But there was no room for advancement. There wasn't a work life balance there. They demanded a lot from their employees

Good hourly plus commision stressful goals, but can be fun if you are competitive. Flexible hours for part time.
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Peoria, ILJuly 17, 2019
For a retail job, AT&T is union and you are compensated well with a high hourly and monthly commission. Lots of stress to sell Direct TV and insurance. If you are competitive and are hungry to make more money, this is a great retail job especially for part time.
Pros
good pay, commission, paid time off
Cons
stressful, sales, goals, weekends and nights

Excelente compañía, solo que no está orientada al crecimiento de su personal. Todo se define en números de ventas sin considerar otros aspectos. Fue muy buena experiencia.

Evil corporation
Retail Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CAJuly 16, 2019
No work life balance what so ever. You get a horrible schedule especially if you have no seniority. You get benefits but you are away from home for over 12 hours a day. Plus mandatory meetings and black out periods that do not allow you to take vacations during the holidays. Commission and hourly pay is garbage considering what you do on a daily basis.

Management is weak
Retail Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Salinas, CAJuly 16, 2019
Managers make you feel like trash if you don't hit your weekly goals. They don't know how to motivate unless it's threats with write ups. They're inconsistent and for the most part super lazy. AT&T really needs to learn how to pick better managers.

don't get used to one manager they come and go. if you work in a high volume store you have the potential to make decent money. They change the pay scale often and can make it hard to reach all your monthly goals.

Att is a horrible company to work for
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Key West, FLJuly 15, 2019
Their management is horrible. The store
Managers spend
More time playing golf on his phone rather than assisting customers or helping his employees. He lies about everything and he doesn’t support his employees on growth and Developemnt. He’s lazy and does things at work he should be fired for. The company backs his actions by allowing him the remain in his positions for over 5 years.

No work/life balance but good pay
Retail Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Woodstock, GAJuly 14, 2019
Paid well but you work most weekends and nights. Sales quotas are intense and management is often pressured from above to set high expectations for sales. There were many times I felt sales came above moral decision making.

Wonderful company, stressful but, pays off
Retail Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Denton, TXJuly 11, 2019
The compensation plans are made for you to figure them out. Once you do and you focus on what they want you to, it's easy to talk to customers without shoving product down their throat. You have to get to know your customer and truly be confident at what you have to offer. The management is hard on you but, I'm sure it's because they also have numbers to make each month!

This used to be a great place to work. But the management has destroyed the company.
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Miami, FLJuly 11, 2019
If you’re okay with having no time for yourself or family while receiving less commission year over year this will be a good fit. Some benefits are good but mostly garbage.
Pros
Work with fun people
Cons
No sick days, decreasing commission, no opportunities

Good money, lots of goals
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKJuly 11, 2019
As a part time sales associate I made $31,000 my first year. With the commission there’s opportunity. I think it’s easy to get burnt out at this job though. You deal with a lot of angry customers. AT&T is always changing the commission structure and their products and services as well. There’s always going to be something new to learn or sell.

Hate my job
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Charlottesville, VAJuly 11, 2019
Ive worked here for around 9 months. My manager is the worst. He leaves the store constantly while still clocked in. They take sales from each other all the time. Everything is very strict now. Its so bad working there that im taking the time to do this review. Im not getting any sort of maternity leave.

Competitive place to work with high quotas.
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Evans, GAJuly 11, 2019
When I began with the company it was amazing. Great place to work, the company cared about employees, and quotas were fair and management supported and helped you reach them. Now years later it’s all about numbers, if the numbers are not there you are hounded to get them back up.

Workplace at At&t Authorized Retail
Authorized Retailed Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  UtahJuly 10, 2019
My co workers were fun to work with, but the pressure they put you on is insane in fact if you dont hit the quota they give you they can write you up. 3 write ups equals getting fired. anyways years ago working for spring att was amazing but now that prime has taken over the morale has change they are super cut throat and brutal, they have fired most of the old spring staff. anyways it was fun and pay was awesome when spring was running the place but its just not the same now :/

Good pay hard quotas depending on locations
Retail Sales consultant (Former Employee) –  Branson, MOJuly 10, 2019
The job is fair and great for the most part. It really depends a lot on your district manager, your store manager, and the promotions the company is running. If you have no good promotions then selling things gets wonky. I was hired on and worked in an odd time for the company. They were restructuring and dealing with a lot of leadership drama. The biggest issue was they were shifting away from being a phone company and into DTV. It seems more polished now, but during the shift things were all over quotas were everywhere. Can be a high stress job. Just make sure you get a job at a busy location, not a slow one.

Greedy company
Retail Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Manhattan, NYJuly 10, 2019
High turnover, overcharge wireless bills, hidden charges on customer bill and store and customer service have little control of credit or fixing account error.
