During my time in AT&T Government Solutions, they were going through some difficult times. The company was being brought out by a smaller rival and they were not winning government contracts, Internally, the management structure seemed to have a more subjective approach for advancement instead of some clear paths to follow. In their defense it was my first job post military service where the progression is much more objective and clear,

Decent Pay for work performed.

It's a union shop, so you got paid fairly well for the work performed (actually more than a non-union position doing the same work). Very casual work environment, but not a lot of growth potential unless you are able to move out of state to one of their main coverage states.

At&t doesn't care about employees

This company only views you as a number. The work demand is extremely high. They expect you to get a 12 hour work day done in 8 hours. You will be forced to work 6 days a week in the hottest months out of the year. You're held accountable for things that aren't your fault, they make it your fault. There is no work life balance at all and you will be micromanaged. In EVERY team meeting there's the speech of how you can lose your job. On a positive note while you're at work you get to work out in the field and you're alone for the most part. Would not recommend this job if you're looking for a serious career. It's extremely stressful if you allow it to stress you

This was a great place to work most days working in the headquarters you are in downtown so you get to experience the true corporate life lots of cold calling though

Good pay nice coworkers

Work space is big, coworkers are nice they are willing to help new hire and never gossip, the pay is fair. Manager changes all the time, it’s kinda disorganized at that moment. Good day can be busy day goes quick.

No respect for work life balance in this role, you will be working past 5:30pm all the time. Constantly being pushed to work as late, even insinuating to work on your days off. Also this job is salary so there is no overtime given to you.Never weekends or holidays off as they will use those days as contests to hit goals. You work a constant 50+ work week and can never plan anything unless you use your PTO.Direct management will lie and try to pressure above company goals just so they can look better. If the company sets a goal of 20 they will add more and then harass you to hit their number over what the company has established.The company is good, but IHX Houston needs Regional VP's to look into their practices.

operators are observed on remotely, the friendliness of fellow operators.

typical day starts out logging in to position and start taking calls. this is normally all you do for 8 hours. sometimes they do not need the same number of operators on duty every hour of the day, so they offer E-Time (extra time off no pay)

You will have no life outside of AT&T

This job was one of the worst I’ve had, poor management, poor attitudes, lack of compassion, and uncomfortable work environment. Unable to receive job accommodations if you are hurt, and expect you to put your body and family last to work for them.

Great opportunity to learn a lot and either grow in-place or take skills elsewhwere

I joined AT&T straight out of college and it was a great opportunity to learn how a large organization works as well as getting experience in a wide range of skills. The culture has changed so much with acquisitions, mergers, many changes of leadership and COVID - it was just time for me to go elsewhere for a new challenge and better pay.

Very rewarding job. Income is good as well. You just have to deal with alot of customers calling back to back. So if that's ok with you then have at it id say.

Very competitive company that often has you pitted against people in your own company. Your experience depends on your leadership. Hard to get support because of the size.

I meant its retention. . . that within itself should be explanitory, they do their best to be helpful. the scheduling is kind of rough due to the nature of bidding for shifts.

The pace is quick but the potential for great income is there! This job is what you make of it. Focus on your metrics and you can easily succeed and make a good living.

AT&T B2B Sales Development Program

This program forces sellers to run the entire sales cycle themselves then a typical day is spent email blasting and cold calling. You are basically a telemarketer and a large majority of people that you contact have already been contacted by other reps so they see it as spam. You get your sales based on luck and the program is with all college grads the same age who all live together, eat together and are social together. In that sense, there is no work life separation whatsoever. The apartments provided are also mold infested/littered with trash and outside animal pest control issue.

At&t invest in worker mental health and make sure that you not stress and there always help available. Offer great wages and their opportunities for growth

Very fun and productive . The management team is amazing . Foot traffic didn't make it very difficult to reach quota. I enjoyed working for this company .

Limitless opportunity

Any competitive person will thrive here! It is such a large organization there are tons of growth opportunities. They have clearly defined expectations for growth, and really value diversity and inclusion.

Pretty much customer service no real sales. Long hours fun environment . Don’t pay fairly good for people that want to make under 30000 a year

You have to get through the bad to see the good

Company poorly managed from mid management down to first level management. If you are not hired in a upper level position, it is difficult to advance in company. With that being said, company is not culturally friendly. Minorities are often overlooked and passed over for advancement.

Pay is great but almost not worth it.

Pay is great, but the company and management are terrible. You'll work hard for long hours, no work life balance at all. Company treats their people like garbage on a daily basis.
