Secure but boring job with great benefits
Data Analyst (Former Employee) - San Ramon, CA - July 10, 2021
AT&T employees may have very different experience depending on department and job type, as a technical professional I was classified as "management" but in the last few years was Non-Exempt, meaning that I was paid by the hour (based on target annual salary) and was theoretically eligible for overtime, but I was not actually allowed to work overtime under any circumstances, so I always had to report working 40 hrs/week, nor was it allowed to work "off the clock", so I had to drop everything at the end of 8 hours and tell the boss that I ran out of time, if that was the case. There was limited time flexibility within normal business hours and location flexibility before COVID, but the management went back and forth on telecommute policy, sometimes we were told to be in the office every day and sometimes we could work from home 3 or 4 days a week.
Pros
Great benefits, job security, learning opportunities
Cons
Frequent layoffs, mergers and acquisitions

Good place to work until budgets run out
Data Analyst/Business Analyst (Current Employee) - Atlanta, GA - March 16, 2020
Work with good people. Job performance is no guarantee of job security. Some areas have availability of working remotely, others do not, depends on your organizations leadership.
