Once you pass the initial interview, you're required to acquire your (FINRA) Series 65 and Series 7, as well as the North Carolina Life Insurance licenses within 2 attempts. I passed all three exams on the first attempts to avoid having to pay for them the second time. The entire process from my initial interview until I was actually licensed and in the field was about 2 and half months for me, but other took more time if they were unable to pass the licensing exams on their first attempts, which could be 6 months or more.
