Great Place to Work!

Great place to be a plumber! I have never been treated better at any other company. Great benefits and they truly care. I can't imagine working anywhere else.

Not for me

I'd look elsewhere for employment unless youre looking for a job to be miserable at then this will be the place for you. Management only cares about bottom dollar for their bonuses. They want you to either choose not taking a lunch break or working late. If you like incompetents at management level then apply. If you're an electrician make sure they pay you 30 an hour starting out. They give a man that doesn't have a license 28 dollars

Use to be an amazing family oriented company

This use to be an amazing company to work for. The previous owner was definitely neurotic and sometimes difficult to work with but the culture and amazing people made it all worth it. Plus the pay was way above the industry average. Once the company was sold it all went downhill. Do not work here unless you’d like to be treated just like another number working for a big corporation.

Pros

Friday lunches

Cons

Pretty much everything, but management is 100% the root cause of all issues within the company at this point.

Hopefully Things Change

Company culture was toxic and the office was full of negativity. Management seemed to never be straightforward and they were always blowing smoke. For example: there was rarely breakfast at weekly meetings (see other reviews).Work/life balance was good, to some. During busy times, more than 45 hours a week was rare. When it was slow, 30-35 hours was typical.

Pros

Work/Life Balance, No On-Call

Cons

Management, Culture, Employee Turnover

Company focused on growth and good culture

Company is transitioning to new owners and is focused on doing the right things for the customers, the business and employees. The culture of integrity and respect is emphasized at all levels of the company, especially treating customers the right way every time.

Pros

Technician meetings have breakfast served. Managers cook food for office staff on Fridays, cash prizes awarded weekly in department meetings

Seat of their pants type management

Overall good company. Too many times issues aren’t actually resolved. Only addressed. Too many smoke and mirror moments where one way dialogue and new tactics implemented without prior experience.

Great job for those who like being treated poorly

On a typical day you run 6 to 7 calls and if you don't drag those calls out, you are sent home early instead of being given more calls. So if you want to get your 40 hours, make sure you work slow. Be prepared to tour Colorado, because the dispatch team will make sure you run around in circles all day instead of using common sense to keep technicians in one area and complete the calls for that area. The management is great, if you like tip toeing around your boss because he likes to go off on tantrums and cuss people out. But that's ok, because he provides free lunch on Friday to the staff that is around.

Pros

Get your own vehicle and don't pay for gas (good thing given their dispatch)

Cons

hours are not consistant, spiffs vary, management is poor

Company that cares

I feel like AAA Service ownership and management cares about me as a person and an employee. Amazing co-workers and ongoing training! There is a lot of collaboration and willingness to improve the process, not just accept the norm. Customer service is so important to the company and employees.

High Turnover

If you want to be fired then work here. They probably have less than 5 employees in the office that have been there for more than 2 years (ask if you dont beleive me). Seems like whenever it gets slow they decide to fire everyone for petty reasons. IF they even give you a reason. The high stress and complete lack of appreciation is not even worth it. Trust me, there are better companies out there.

Pros

They feed you on friday

Cons

You might not have a job on Monday.

Techs

For techs, a great place to use your skills and make a tons of money. For the office a great place to shine and show what you are made of. No micromanaging going on here.

Cons

Need call center manager

Fun Worksplace

So at AAA I did several jobs everyday such as answering the phone and troubleshooting what issues the customer’s were having so that we sent the correct technician to the their house. I also dispatched and routed the boards for the technicians to make their jobs as stress free as possible. Lastly I invoiced, filed and order parts for the techs as needed.

Pros

Fun workplace, Free lunches on Fridays

Cons

A lot but mainly management
