AAA doesn't appreciate the value of the people who make their company
Insurance Agent (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXJanuary 8, 2019
Poor communication made every day difficult. I learned a lot about insurance. I was not able to depend on my manager to follow through on requests. There was no respect just gossip and backstabbing. If someone was well liked by management they would goof off and distract others which hurt everyone. The best part about the job was making AAA members happy. The hardest part was overlooking the poor workplace morale and trying to do my best in spite of it.
Pros
Great benefits
Cons
Poor leadership, too much drama not enough professionalism

stressful but you can make a lot of money. Management could be better and could use a lot more team work. They put you through a lot of training and prepare well.

Great place to gain skills.
TRAVEL AGENT (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXMay 3, 2016
I learned valuable skills required for an office setting. How to manage clients and accounts. Keeping proper documentation.
The other agents were always helpful and friendly.

The best part was helping clients find solutions that worked for them. The clients were grateful and made you feel valuable.

The unfriendliest parts were the demanding hours and strict vacation use limitations.
Pros
Great benefits
Cons
Restrictive hours and vacation availability.

No work/life balance, company policy is horrible
Insurance Sales Agent (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXOctober 2, 2015
I have been a AAA member for many years and thought this would be a great company to work for,I was wrong. My manager and my co-workers are great. Its them not willing to spend money on tech improvements. We have so any system that we use and any of them commute to each other, so I will have to the same thing 3-4 different times. Also there isn't a work/life balance. There is more but at the end of the day I would not recommend to work for this company

Great place to work not a career
Lead Insurance Agent (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXFebruary 26, 2014
Great place to work and company does what it promises. However a lot of under qualified people who have been there a long time making good money. Longevity determines most promotions.
Pros
Great pay; work life balance; great benefits
Cons
Management is underqualified
