Security Officer (Current Employee) – Cameron Parish, LA – September 27, 2018
This company is the absolute worst that I have ever worked for. First off the company is run by a husband and wife tag team of idiots that don't even bother to look up labor laws. Even the employee handbook lists thing that are in violation of the FLSA. Their main concern is billing the client, they don't care about employees knowing the job they just want bodies so that they can bill for them being at work. they lied on their job offer and said that we would receive paid time off, raises, and a 401k I am going on three years with this company and still have not received any of those benefits. If you call in for a legitimate reason for one day they will take you off the schedule for the remainder of the work week. I could go on and on about the horrific treatment that they bestow upon their employees, but I don't have enough time. I hope that they will lose the contract where I am and a normal company can take over. If you only want some temporary income by all means try them out, but if you want something permanent pass them up. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
Lack of training, No consideration for employees health and safety
Despite of the things that are wrong this company has the potential to be great. The benefits could be better but they cut corners. Some of the supervisors are so petty good workers were driven to quit or fired for BS. You do favors like stay late to cover a call in, sometimes you get overtime, but don't have to call in or your getting written up... Even if your child gets sick. I'm more than sure these good reviews is being put up by some brown nosing office person.
Security Officer (Full-time) (Current Employee) – Cameron Parish, LA – July 3, 2018
This is a good company to work for. All of their sites are MTSA regulated facilities, meaning you have to possess a TWIC to work there. The work schedule is comparable to other lines of work, generally a 12 hour shift. The pay is great! Benefits are good and the cost is reasonable (medical, dental, vision, 401K). The supervision is solid. The expectation is to show up for work and be on time in the proper uniform and do your job. No surprise there. The opportunity for advancement is provided to all employees. Overall, this is a good company to work for.
Security Supervisor (Current Employee) – Port Arthur, TX – June 11, 2018
AAY pays more than the averge non-commission security job to include the supervisor position and they try to promote from within. If you are looking for a set schedule then this may not be the job for you, they work on a 12 hour rotating schedule.
Armed Security Officer (Former Employee) – Cameron Parish, LA – May 13, 2018
They are very partial to physical appearance. If ur "pretty" or "handsome" or if your family members know the owners, you will never have to worry about loosing your job or having disciplinaries written on you. With the right look, you can stay on your phone, ipads, etc.., can sleep, pick and choose your overtime to work, pick and choose how and where you work. Mohawks and untucked shirts are acceptable as well. Will lie about you when you leave the company.
pay is good
favoritism applies for advancement...not experience
Security Officer (Former Employee) – Port Arthur, TX – April 26, 2018
The pay is good for this area one of the highest paid security companies in this area. The work life balance is good. You only work about 1/2 the month. The hardest part of the job is long shifts and no PTO and no vacation.
Armed Security Officer - Lead Officer (Former Employee) – Cameron, LA – April 6, 2018
The pay is higher than your typical security. The work environment is poor. Not ideal for permanent job, but great for something temporary. Company is expanding, but there isn’t much growth potential and no good benefits. The hardest part about this job is dealing with the people you work with.
Armed Security Officer – Lead Officer (Former Employee) – Cameron, LA – January 22, 2018
The pay is rewarding, but the work environment just wasn't up to par. There isn't much cohesion and everyone is out to get one another. I exceled and was promoted quickly and employees began speaking behind my back and attempting to have me fired. The supervisors didn't really know much and was often doing the work for them.
Armed Security Officer (Former Employee) – Port Arthur, TX – September 2, 2017
If you arent buddy buddy with that people from vidor that work there and your arent white they dont give you any chances or warnings they just fire you but if youre white you can crash a vehicle, go to sleep, or even get caught on your phone in a resricted no phone area and still keep your job. This job is based off of favoritism and brown nosers
