Lots of Positive Changes Happening

I just left there due to moving but there are a lot of positive changes happening there. Staffing up, higher pay for techs and nurses, change in management was a huge plus.

Nurse

If you value your nursing license you will not work with these children. They are very disrespectful. And other staff will not back you up when correcting them. Not to mention underpaid and over worked. Also short staffed. HR department extremely rude. Also be mindful Acadiana Treatment Center is part of Vermillion. You will be one nurse at night over approx 25-30 children.

Acadiana Treatment Center is dysfunctional. People get fired on a whim depending on the mood of upper management. Constant chaos, with little regard for operating a program successfully. It’s all about the numbers and to keep beds filled regardless if individuals meet the criteria for treatment. Raises are non-existent, but additional work is always dumped on people. lack of communication in all areas and extremely poor management

Although working with most peers is enjoyable there is a severe lack of communication. The facility does not follow any authority sequence. A lot of gossiping, secrets, talking about other workers and patients which causes animosity and turmoil. Favoritism is shown in most actions with regard to employees and patients.
