How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Accenture? What are the steps along the way?

You can expect up to 5-6 months long interviewing/hiring process. Initial interview for me was in the end of Nov, technical interview was 2 months later (in beginning of Feb), and situational interview was in end of Feb. The last interview with the manager was scheduled for end of Mar. You can add some additional 3-4 weeks of background check. And another 2-3 weeks until you get the offer. So that makes 5-6 months! Slowest hiring process in the corporate world. My advise - don't deal with Accenture.

The whole process can take up to 3 weeks. The first step is to submit a formal resume and application on their website. Then, usually in a few day a recruiter for the company will call you about any availability based on your information. After talking to the recruiter they will set up a phone interview with a hiring manager in your department. After the phone interview they will contact you via phone ( usually no more than a week later) any additional steps you will need to take ( in person interview, documentation, etc.) The longest part is the background check, because it is very thorough. On the plus side, they do stay in Contact with you the whole time, but I recommend checking your email regularly. If you take too long to respond to any emails they take that as a sign that you aren't interested, so be diligent.
