Stressful and high-pressure environment
Benefits Testing Associate (Current Employee) –  Louisville, TNSeptember 17, 2019
While the salary and benefits look good on paper, there is a dangerous culture at Accenture that is pervasive among the higher leadership. They claim to be a company that works hard to make sure all feel included, welcome, and valued in their roles. Sadly, this corporate company falls prey to what many large companies do--focusing solely on the profits over the people.
Pros
Good salary
Cons
Huge disparity in benefits between roles, promise of growth and promotions that fall through

They can be better by increasing the level of communication with their employees and increasing the quality of their benefits where it can be affordable

Too big for their britches
HR Analyst (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXSeptember 12, 2019
On the outside they appear to be a global consulting conglomerate with unlimited opportunities for growth and potential. The “project” I was put on was meant to offer ideas and process improvement through consulting but my manager was only interested in production. I’ve never worked with such a manager that was so demanding and had no understanding of the work being done and also unwilling to use the team expertise. Their back-office support was immensely disorganized and a nightmare as well. Recruiter gave me completely inaccurate critical details about the job (location, schedule, start date). Payroll mishandled my pay and corrections multiple times. Various benefits team gave me incorrect information related to my coverage and eligibility. Our team felt no connection to the company culture other than mandated training. We only could focus on client work and unable to participate in any Accenture related meetings or programs outside of our team meetings.

Good PTO and OT is there if you need it. Employee Resource Groups keep people involved. They have ping pong tables and a cafeteria even though the food is pricy.

Great benefits, good pay. Strong emphasis on leadership and management over the employees who keep the company productive.

Review Agent (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXSeptember 6, 2019
An easy going relaxed atmosphere from the beginning into one that is strict and micromanaged. Sad to see a company progressively make things worse for their employees over time.
Pros
Free snacks and lunches
Cons
short breaks, micromanaging time

I like working with Accenture! It's a pretty relaxed environment but still very challenging, work-wise. There is actual work-life balance and the compensation isn't bad either.

Contract work thru temp service, no benefits
Medical Claims Processor (Former Employee) –  Louisville, TNAugust 28, 2019
No benefits no paid holidays, contract work, company has no intention to hire fulltime. The hours are 830 to 5pm Monday thru Friday and the only perk to the job is having weekends off.

Data Center Associate/Network Engineer (Current Employee) –  Frederick, MDAugust 23, 2019
Accenture is a fantastic company to work for. Amazing benefits, bonuses once a year, great culture, but the contract I am on, horrific. Management needs an overhaul for the third time.

Enjoy working at current job.
Due to limited resources and continually push to do more with less make the environment very stressful. Continually working 12 to 14 hours a days 5 days a week. On-call rotation with on every other weekend due to limited resources doesn't leave time for a personal life.
Current Company has great job learning opportunities and benefits.

Worst job ever !
Management Consultant (Integrated Eligibility) (Former Employee) –  Columbus, OHAugust 4, 2019
This company is by far the worst company on the LLP side I worked for the federal side and it was great. The Ohio benefits project is a joke. I was discriminated against on multiple occasions and even HR would do nothing but listen and say I know it’s awful.

Great work environment but pay is a little low
Level 10 software engineer (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXAugust 3, 2019
The only thing I have to complain about is that they pay far below average. The delivery center in San Antonio is a lot of churn, because of the low pay. However; it is a very relaxed, and even fun environment. Managers are mandated to treat employees well, and for the most part, they do. Overall one of the best jobs I've ever had with the exception of the pay.

Accenture is great, my contract, not great
Network Engineer (Current Employee) –  Frederick, MDJuly 31, 2019
I work with a mix of 20+ veterans of Accenture and people who were brought on new, and from the precious contracts IT group.. this contract is cursed. Management rotates constantly, people quit and contractors roll in, management does not listen at all.. HR needs to get their butts in gear and do an overhaul.
Accenture in its essence is great! Amazing benefits, flexible, warm, almost feels like a family. I don’t know what it is about this contract, but it’s brought out the worst in people.
Pros
Benefits, people, culture.
Cons
Management is horrendous

BC Forward - Contractor (Former Employee) –  Louisville, TNJuly 30, 2019
Worked for 4 years and never promoted. No full time benefits. No time off. No increase in pay the whole time there. Also, management never helped with improving the skills to promote within.
Cons
Stay on contract

Decent company to work on

Dont stay in this company for too long. Accenture has a good brand name, but it doesn't guarantees good work. Quality of work depends on your project.

Diverse company
Business Process QA Manager (Former Employee) –  Sacramento, CAJuly 29, 2019
Diverse company primarily focused on project management.
Good benefits
Management reporting structure is not clear however; too many dotted line relationships making it difficult for the one employee
