Very terrible company to work for

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
This is the worst company I have ever worked for. They give you no benefits, no paid time off. Management is very unprofessional and talk down to us like we are children. The owner is literally invisible. Doesn’t come around to check on staff and take our concerns. They definitely don’t pay enough for the work they make us do. They don’t give raises so don’t expect to further in this company.

Pros

Coordinators Jasmine and Amy are very friendly

Cons

Pay wage, bad management, no benefits, etc..

Horrible place to work do not work here

They take money from You for training you don’t even get! Poor management and never listen to concerns for the client! Horrible place to work! They pretend like they care about you up front but in all reality they don’t care at all! Very unprofessional place to work. Probably my worst experience in the dsp field! It’s a shame the clients come last

Cons

Everything

Individuals that require services. Co-workers.

Either lack of communication with something important or over communication for something simple or common sense. Information changes weekly, sometimes daily depending on who you are speaking with.

Pros

Work hours, clients and families, co- workers.

Cons

Wages, benefits, top heavy management

Caring CEO

I’m unsure when the new owner took over but I’ve been with them at the day program since November 2019. I enjoy going to work everyday and interacting with my individuals, their guardians and families. It can be challenging at times but when that happens I phone my supervisor and inform them of my needs and get what I need to do my job properly. It’s Monday through Friday and never any weekends or evenings so I have free time for friends and family. The pay is better everyone else in the area and I have health insurance and an IRA.

Pros

Supervisors welcome creative ideas, listen to what my needs are, find the tools to ensure my needs are met.

Cons

Not enough other awesome coworkers

Poor Culture and Lack of Leadership

This place was the most misleading place that I have ever worked.Firstly, I was informed at my 90 days, I would get increased in my wage. That actually never occurred as indicated at the time of interview. Owner only acknowledged the fact that I was wearing sweat pants at the day program due to it being to humid to wear jeans while chasing a client from one end of the building to the next. He did not fully acknowledge the fact that we were getting absolutely railroaded at the day program due to a severe lack of staffing. Overall, my biggest complaint would be the identity of this program. I cannot make sense of this place at all. You cannot mix certain personalities with others. My experience here seemed like empty promises and too many politics within the company.

Pros

Clients!

Cons

Poor Benefits, Lousy Ownership, and

Exciting and fun place to work!

Ever since the new owner of Accessible has taken over things have grown and become the best place I have ever worked! I look forward to going to work each day, due to the clients and the impact I am able to have in their lives. Not to mention we now have medical, an IRA, and get regular performance evaluations. I would recommend working for Accessible to anyone that wants to be apart of a caring family owned business!

Pros

Health Care, Ira, Raises, Overtime, Family Values, and Exciting New Experiences

Cons

Always short staffed

Enjoy working here and couldn't ask for a better supervisor

I've been in the field for 15 years. I feel comfortable and supported here. I feel that I'm making a difference and respected. Our owner has made a huge difference in the year that he has taken over. He wants to a make a difference. His philosophy is clients first, staff second. I feel that he truly cares. You can find him working in the homes when short on staffing.

Pros

Great clients, Owner who cares, Bonuses offered, Ira

Cons

Short staffed (but that's everywhere)

Communication

The lack of communication with upper management is horrible; the constant gossip and non stop drama with staff is really bad. Clients are fantastic and are absolutely amazing human beings!! If communication would be consistent then this would make things easier for the entire company. A company policy with actual rules and regulations would also make things run smoothly.

Pros

Hard work eventually pays off

Cons

Communication

The clients is the only thing good

I was at this company 2 years knew how to Do my job pretty well never called off but one time and always was on time and picked up shifts. I decided to ask for a raise because I heard they where giving people raises I was told no not at this time. This company is racist biased and treat there workers and clients like wrong. Not everyone is treated equal at this company

Pros

The clients

Cons

No raises short staffed unequal treatment amongst staff

Horrible place to work

This company is absolutely horrible! They have NO communication whatsoever! The owners are on different pages, different rules for different people, different clients get what they want they don’t do the same for every client! They bribe you with gift cards so the program coordinators dont have to work. They don’t offer vacation time, sick time, paid time off. When you do request the time off they hold it against you then try to write you up for your attendance. Favoritism here is just ridiculous!

Pros

The clients are so loving

Cons

No vacation, paid time off, they don’t care about their employees

Horrible place to work

I worked there for years. Schedules were made then changes were made without staff being notified. PC. Crystal lies on staff to save face. Director bribed employees to work with gift cards. staff work 24+ straight hours. turnover is so high. Most dcs are lazy and don't pass meds. clients were left in bedrooms while staff watch tv

Overall not a good place to work

This job would be enjoyable if the management didn’t treat their employees like they are children. Also no advancing in this company. They have no benefits, no raises. No flexibility with peoples busy schedules. Pay is not good

Not a good place to work.

The hours suck. No overtime, no benefits, absolutely no communication. Very hard to get fulltime. Upper management is horrible, no people skills, you are talked down to. No, I would not recommend this place for a job. Turn over is very high.

Cons

No overtime, no fulltime, no benefits what so ever.
