Great work/life balance
Behavior Therapist Position (Current Employee) - Fairfax, VA - October 19, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGreat management that are always looking to help. Good flexibility in scheduling, would say I could use some more hours. Don't expect a full time position. Great for college students who are looking to work while finishing up their degree.

An Agency
Service Provider (Former Employee) - Queens, NY - September 21, 2023
They have lots of wonderful cases around five boroughs. Supportive supervisors. I provided ABA services as well as SEIT services for them. Would recommend as a contractor.

Stable but unsatisfactory
Service Coordinator (Current Employee) - New York, NY - July 21, 2023
AgPrior to the pandemic, the agency was much better. Workload is a lot and pay barely increases, more the fault of the industry. We almost always have to staff with other agencies for an agency that provides services. One manager has always stayed positive and stepped up to support the team. If she leaves, many of us won't stay.

Stay away
ABA Therapist (Current Employee) - Forest Hills, NY - June 26, 2023
Poor salary, excessive travel time (they say they reimburse you for travel time in between, they don’t), very little/no support for new people. Not worth applying here.

Run away
ABA Therapist (Former Employee) - Queens, NY - May 30, 2023
Terrible upper administration and office staff. They only care about billable sessions and paperwork completed. The only good ABA supervisors all left over a year ago.

- You must love working with children - Your eyes must always be on the child - Ok payment + minimum hours - Expect just a part-time - Always be on time You'll like this place since everyone is really helpful in here!

Poor Management and Administration
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Long Island, NY - April 21, 2023
Work itself is rewarding. Admin & upper management are detached from BTs & families, mostly want to cover their own butt with frequent lack of and miscommunication. Training was insufficient, no guidance, little pay, no growth opportunities
Pros
Meaningful work, making a difference in families' lives
Cons
No employee respect, Insufficient training, communication, upper management, administration, pay, no benefits, advancement opportunity, raises, commute

Bt
ABA Therapist (Former Employee) - Whittier, CA - December 2, 2022
Long hiring process. They work with your schedule and are nice enough to help you if you ever have questions. The facility is clean and they take COVID serious so you need to be vaccinated. Staff, management, supervisors and BTs are all friendly and communicate well.

No opportunity for growth
Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) (Former Employee) - Whittier, CA - October 12, 2022
I worked for Achieve for about 7 years and I got a raise in pay only once. The only reason I stayed for so long is because I really liked the kiddos we worked with. The job itself is rewarding and fun. The pay is not good. Other agencies pay much more and have more benefits and resources.
Pros
Great kid and families
Cons
Pay is bad, no benefits, no opportunities for growth

It’s ok but not great
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Melville, NY - October 10, 2022
It was a good experience but I wouldn’t recommend the company to anyone. If you want a stable job with advancement this is not the place for you. If you loose hours they don’t make efforts to give you hours.
Pros
The clients
Cons
Low pay, no advancement, no communication

Good but not great
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Melville, NY - October 8, 2022
This job was an amazing opportunity at first but then I got cancelled on a great amount of times and lost many hours. when there’s an issue with insurance, they don’t find ways to give you hours. I lost 3 weeks of a paycheck.

Grateful for the experience but would not recommend to anyone I know to work here
Service Coordinator (Former Employee) - Forest Hills, NY - August 31, 2022
Training for the job was about a month which consisted of reading material and being tested then employees had to shadow someone with experience for about a week. After it was a "learn as you go" experience. The managers expect so much from you in the short amount of time and the workload is overwhelming. When you express concern it was like "I'm sorry to hear that but the work still needs to get done." They are all about numbers and less about the need of the clients. The pay is so poor that I probably would make more money working at target than here. The only enjoyable part of my job were my co-workers and working with my clients.
Pros
Staff appreciation lunches, fun work events and after work events
Cons
low pay, burn out, high turnover rate

Good for part time
Occupational Therapist (Current Employee) - New York, NY - August 30, 2022
Good job to have if you're looking for part time or per diem. Take as many or as few cases as you want and schedule them on your own. Pay is fair and comparable to other agencies. Has recently started providing some benefits for part time such as sick time and 401k.

Love having a flexible schedule
Behavioral Therapist (Current Employee) - Westfield, NJ - August 11, 2022
As a BT, I was able to have a really flexible schedule while in college. I could have as many or as few clients while I continued my education. I loved being able to schedule my client's sessions when I had the time and what worked best for both schedules. Management keeps changing but everyone is always nice and helpful when you have questions.

Rewarding place to work
Therapist (Current Employee) - Fairfax, VA - July 26, 2022
Love the families and making a difference. Co-workers are knowledgeable and professional. Office is nice and space is adequate for therapy sessions and to interact with others .

Working as a part timer
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Former Employee) - Forest Hills, NY - July 26, 2022
I worked here part time as a COTA. I thought that the first few months was very tough because there was a lot to learn (i.e., session notes, progress reports, therapy sessions). I thought that the management did their best to teach me. There was always great communication within the team from provider relations, case managers, and supervisors. There are always opportunities to learn with the monthly workshops available. Everyone is very passionate about their job which made it a great environment to work in. Even though I was a part timer, I felt that the management always tried their best to give me cases and check up on me. My advice for COTAs, you have to take initiative to ask management any questions and ask for help from your supervisor on therapy sessions. Overall, I enjoyed working here and would recommend this place.

Nice as a side gig
Employee (Former Employee) - Westchester County, NY - July 8, 2022
Very flexible, management is always available and helpful. Pay could be better and it’s really not sustainable long term with all the gas money. No benefits no matter how many hours you work.
Pros
Super flexible, helpful office staff
Cons
No benefits, lots of driving and gas that you aren’t compensated for
