Global Corporation with a great network of employees across the nation
Sales Leadership Development Program (Current Employee) – Menomonee Falls, WI – April 19, 2017
Typical day at work included cold calls, setting up appointments with clients, building quotes, prospecting for new markets, entering and managing leads in Salesforce, building excel spreadsheets for analyzing sales data, working with engineers to design custom hydraulic products, completing expense reports, and instructor-led training on LEAN manufacturing principles.
I learned time management skills, how to manage a six-state sales territory, manage customer expectations, organization skills, different strategies to go to market for 4 different markets (Aggregates, Transportation & Logistics, Agriculture, and Oil & Gas)
I had an off-site direct manager along with multiple on-site indirect managers. Worked at the corporate headquarters which included visits with the segment VP's, Segment Sales Leaders, and Engineers.
Workplace Culture was a quiet and friendly corporate environment with a kitchen, cafeteria, and gym on-site.
Hardest part of the job was the relocation requirements.
Most enjoyable part of the job was the opportunity to see different areas of the United States of which I had not traveled to and having a large network of employees in the same position for support.
Large support group across the United States, Good amount instructor-led training sessions
Quiet work environment
