You only get vacation days (FTO) when you're a full-time employee. If you're part- time, you can request off ahead of time, but you just won't get paid. You can also use one of your 6 yearly call outs. Full-time employees have a 4 month probation period where if you take off during this period you start all over again. You also must be working 39-40 hours a week during this to start gaining FTO. The longer you work there the more FTO you earn a pay period. You can carry 5 FTO days into the new year.
