Good for starting but low salaries

Indeed Featured review

Work here for 2 years max to get experience and then move on once you have experience. They might start you at the wonderfully low rate of $20-22/hr. With 0.26% raises. Do your best to learn here. Lots to learn to look good for more caring companies.

One of the worst Managers Ever

Worst manager I ever had and single handedly created the turnover rate in their department. Condescending and Disrespectful. Multiple people in other departments have witnessed this as well.

Good Place to Learn the Basics of Lab Work but a toxic, profit orientated, disrespectful place nonetheless

Working at ADMA helped me learn the basics of working in a biopharma lab. For that I’ll be thankful. However, all other aspects of the company are awful. The upper management cares little about the analysts/chemists working in the lab. Problems concerning favoritism, skewed results, and generally low moral are swept under the rug and rarely acknowledged. The CEO doesn’t care for his workers and only wants to see profits. Raises are only given to those who bow down and kiss the feet of the CEO and upper management. Even though the company broke record profits in 2020-2021, raises weren’t given out and no salaries were matched to the rise of inflation. If you want to work here, be very weary. The lab analysts are always talked down and looked down upon while the manufacturing facility and staff are given special treatment. Flawed results are always blamed on laboratory personnel and never on the manufacturing personnel (even when it is clear something on the manufacturing side is to blame such as improperly delivered/collected in process samples). The pay vs work balance was also extremely off putting. Analysts were never given raises and only vague promises of internal advancement were given. Analysts in the lab would on average make 20-25% less than the national average pay for microbiologists and chemists. Working weekends and late hours were common and overtime was discouraged as the company does not like to pay its employees more than what is required by law. Learn what you can and leave as soon as possible.

disorganized

Horrible place to work. I have 20 years of emergent and non emergent medical experience. Their "company training" program is horrible, little to no support (for the Phys. sub position) Everyone is just a number, very "clickish" with the staff that has been there a while.

Pros

Good place for young Phlebotomist to work to gain experience

Cons

everything mentioned in my review

Decent company

There are great benefits. 401k, health insurance, pto, eh&s provided safety glasses and shoes. I wish there was more employee development but what can you do.

Cons

No employee development

Toxic Place - Stay away!

Toxic work culture full of bullies and unprofessional behavior starting from the top down. The top leader is prone to outbursts, a complete control freak and one of the main reasons this company might never reach its full potential. People are in constant fear of losing their job for any reason. People are also afraid of bringing issues to HR for fear of retaliation, since it's well known HR is useless. They just pretend to care which in turn keeps enabling the bullies. They've been having a lot of problems hiring and retaining employees so they keep throwing money and titles at people to lure them in but as soon as they realize what they got themselves into, they're out the door. My advice for potential candidates is: stay away! The money isn't really worth it. And for board members: pay attention to the high employee turnover ratio; this is the best indicator something's wrong. Hire a proven leader who will grow the company while also treating the employees with respect and dignity.

Pros

Good health insurance plan

Cons

Toxic work culture. Go back to my review for detail. Also, their vacation (PTO) policy is subpar compared to the rest of the industry.

Was good at first

Job started out great at first and I had a real sense of joy coming in and doing my job, but that suddenly changed when certain new people came to power. It's crazy how one certain individuals here will find any little thing to complain about even though you are getting your work and tasks done at a quick and efficient rate compared to others. It's crazy how those individuals will talk bad about you behind your back and get you blackballed to the director, but yet smile and joke with you in your face.

Low pay and slow promotions

I could go on and on about this place and why it stinks, for me it was the low pay and lack of recognition from management. You have to fit into a certain appearance and present yourself a certain way to move up, moving up has nothing to do with your actual skill level, instead its all about how fake you can be and how much management favors you. The craziest part of all of this is that they pay workers with a lower education in different departments MORE then they pay there own QC employees and its a pharmaceutical company!! I feel bad for everybody else there that still cant figure this out for themselves. This company does not care about its QC employees at all, to them you are just machine operators that are easily replaced by the nearby college. My Advice: Get your experience and get the F out! There is so much more opportunity in other places.

Pros

Good for people with no experience.

Cons

Low Pay, Poor Advancement, Horrible Management

Toxic workplace

Stay away. This place will cause you immense amounts of stress since there are too many office politics, backstabbing, dictatorship-like authority, and lies. Management (most, not all) are a bunch of people who play favorites, and exemplify a high school-like environment. The cliques at the bottom can be fierce as well, but pales in comparison to the ones at management level. The company is filled with rumors, and the performance review process is a joke. People are reminded that they are replaceable constantly. Having a logical opinion versus a subjective one is a hazard to your performance review, and employment. If you have great ideas that management doesn't like for whatever reason, consider yourself not a team player at ADMA. Your job is at risk everyday due to hypersensitive management, HR, and employees. Some people find it home, but I think they are in the "in" crowd. There are some nice and brilliant people there. However, most of them are terrified by the company, and I am pretty sure trying to leave at the earliest opportunity. I am not sure if they deserve even one star, but there isn't a 0 star option. People have gotten fired for feeding animals in the parking lot, and for other petty reasons. The drugs they make can help people, but they source from poor people in low income areas with their plasma centers like Dracula. The company is not profitable, and on an FDA warning letter.

Toxic work environment

Management is horrible! Stay away from this company. Sadly, it starts with the CEO... management are a bunch of bullies! Toxic work environment.Horrible!

Management needs training.

The company has potential but the CEO and upper management aren't great decision makers. HR needs better training on how to deal with employees and complaints.

Bad senior management. Stay away!!!!

This is one of the most toxic companies I have ever worked for. It all starts from the top. They hire senior management basically because they know how to sell themselves and use the little people to do their work. They know nothing. People are always leaving because this place is just filled with people who know nothing and are very bitter. Just stay away. Look at all of the openings, that speaks for itself!!!

Major growing pains

The company has potential to be great if senior management cared about their employees. They management team is full of bullies. There is no culture. The CEO acts like a child and HR doesn't care about the employees. They pretend to care only to check a task off their list.

Pros

Fantastic benefits.

Cons

Poorly Run, going nowhere

ADMA is filled with very nice, smart individuals. It is such a shame that they cannot ever hope to retain their talent. Upper management does not know what they are doing and as such are being passed up by the rest of the biotech industry. The company still does not have FDA approval to manufacture and they have nothing planned for the future. Everyone working for ADMA is rightfully scared about their employment status and from what I hear are hemorrhaging good people every day. Please avoid until ownership changes hands!!

Horrible

If you like working for a CEO that yells and screams when he isn't happy and you want to work for a company that NEVER keeps their promises then ADMA is the right company for you. They have a FDA warning letter and if you don't know what that means look it up... not good! Merit increases and bonus's not what is promised. I have finally decided that I have had enough of the empty promises. Not the managers fault, they have been nothing but positive to me and tell me my work is stellar. All the CEO and HR.

Feeling of Walking on Egg Shells, or FIRED.

*Agree with Management, or you are Fired. *Under threat of being FIRED if you do ANYTHING wrong. *Conspicuous work environment. *Very poor decision making. *No accountability, nor ownership. *No clear path of roles and responsibilities. *GOOD people under wrong leadership. *There is great talent, but poorly allocated. *Lack of Professionalism from upper management and for being a biomedical facility. *VERY Shaky performance, thus SHAKY expectations. *HIGH TURNOVER RATIO SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

Pros

Flexibility in working hours, benefits.

Cons

Lack of: Leadership, Management, Concrete Direction, and more.

Decent Place

Good place to work. Pay was low for title, but opportunity for advancement available. Management is new and still learning to run a large company, but doing an ok job of it.

Great Company to work for

Enjoyed my time with ADMA. Spent nearly 4 years and was promoted several times, never felt snubbed. Brilliant minds at the top. Unfortunately, company is moving to Florida.

Productive and fun environment to work

ADMA is a family oriented company to work for. We believe strongly in honesty and integrity. We are very dedicated to the production of drugs that will save the lives of our patients.
