The culture here was great. Peers and managers are very supportive here. Teamwork and leadership are very important to everyone her and it shows through their culture

Good place to work.

They have decent pay but don't always tell you up-front about what position might entail. Like outbound vrs inbound. They also have great training amd advancement opertunities.

Call Volume

It’s an okay company to work for , call volume stays high especially in general care so sometimes it can be mentally draining. They do provide all equipment.

Disorganized

Management is a joke. Parts inventory is a joke. Daily routing is a joke. Orlando office needs a complete overhaul. Contractors are taken advantage of. No gas/mileage compensation.

Great place to work for experience but bad management

You’ll meet great guy at ADT but management wise adt lacks very badly they don’t really care for you unless you’ve been for awhile or your numbers are doing goood and that’s all they care about when you first start even when your doing good there’s problem along the way and forget about was just in a recent accident vehicle was hit and I lost my side mirror there were issue getting a rental and waiting along to get towed my manager says drive my vehicle without a side mirror until can get a rental.

Stressful work Environment, Good Pay, Good Benefits , Unfriendly Management

The pay was pretty good ,, then new management , department closures , work load increase , high job turnover and a lot of medical leaves for stress.

Bakersfield Material handler

Warehouse is cluttered there is no room to work. A typical day is you come in and check stuck transactions. Which is a guessing came because you don’t know that one part has 4 different part numbers or more. And techs use whatever they want. Then you will throw the trash out and have to sort through by hand to make sure there isn’t any screws or wire in it. Which there always is because techs throw whatever they want away. Daily you’ll receive camera orders from sells that won’t give you any part numbers and if they do it will be wrong and you will be asked why did you order the wrong ones. Have a 20 tech squad? No problem. You can open up everyone’s locker one by one and store their parts weekly. Let’s not forget about e-waste you will have to go through constantly and return every week. Want to pull some parts? No worries. Nothing is labeled and has a designated spot. Techs need parts? Why should they. They get a weekly replenishment which has no parts they actually need. Do you like cycle counting? Because every 90 days you will be counting all in-house stock. All the techs trucks stock. All the back stock. All the commercial stock. It’s all good through because according to corporate once you time stamp your inventory it should only take 15 minutes. Regardless if it’s a whole warehouse. Don’t worry though because every week you will get pages of stock corporate needs back. And it will be mostly stuff the guys need. And they will leave them stuff they don’t need. So you will order back the stuff they do need. Next week they will ask you to send it right on back. Don’t have -

Sometimes you get out what you put in. Not always.

Expected to work a minimum of six days a week. You do have the ability to manipulate your schedule but unless the time is specifically blocked, you’re pretty much on call. More of a prospecting roll than anything.

Cons: stressful work environment

Training is a joke. They throw new hires on the phones on the second week to take calls. Every week your forced to take calls from customers with absolutely no training. The trainers play favorites with ghetto, unskilled employees. The favoritism at this company is ridiculous! They have revolving doors and are always hiring because they can't keep decent employees. No work life balance. They want you to take billing and technical calls but they don't pay what actual tech support reps make. Their customers are verbally abusive and ignorant. Every phone call last between 20 minutes up to an hour. They will hire anyone just to fill seats. No sense of inclusiveness. Very low employee morale. They don't prepare or train new hires to handle their technical and billing calls. The job is mentally exhausting and draining. Very unhealthy. I can whole heartedly say this is the absolute worst job I've ever had. Their technicians are unethical and so is management.

Productive and Fun workplace

It's a great environment to work in. The employers are great and they are a family. I love doing sales rep. It pays well and they always see if you are in need of help. Great job to get when looking for a fresh start

Pay is well as long as you can overcome competition

ADT is the only company I know that has its sales reps competing with their own company. ADT has LOTS of Authorized dealers who are able to sale for much less than you can working as a corporate rep. Often the dealers packages are offered free where we cannot even come close. If you hustle and beat the dealers to the sale though, the pay is good. Management is like most other corporations. They dont have much to do, so they create unnecessary charts and meetings which lots of times get in the way of actual selling. They are often not on the same page.

Terrible company to work for. Policies & expectations change almost daily. Poor communication from management & constant mandatory overtime depending on the department you work in.

Its ok work place if had better manager

My manager doesn't care about me (account management) makes me want to quit everyday already made a good rep quit. They sometimes ignore you including upper management. Job is pretty stressful but if your manager is horrible that doesn't make it any better.

Micro managed with heavy workload

A workload that is built for two, not one. Management not available to assist and also leans heavily on you to succeed. No incentives for admin, but many for technicians and sales.

Do not work here

So I worked at Adt for a year. I 10/10 would not recommend working here. The pay is awful and you do so much work. The management doesn’t care about you. If you get sick with Covid and you don’t have any pto to use during that time you have to miss 5 days and then try to apply for FLMA. When you come back from being sick don’t expect any managers to message you and check and see how you’re doing or if you’re feeling better because no one will message you. Not to mention you’re always getting yelled at by customers. The company will say we are trying to make the work load easier but then they throw more responsibility on you. Ohhh and the pay. The pay is awful. The pay increase you get once a year isn’t even a 1% pay increase. I didn’t have the benefits but I heard that the health insurance wasn’t good. Oh and another thing if you’re pregnant or thinking about wanting to have a baby soon Adt doesn’t offer maternity leave. This company is the worse. The only good thing is you have the opportunity to work from home during this pandemic but still not worth all the stress and mental toll it takes on you. Save your time and find a better job. Don’t work here

National company, Transfer to other opportunities in other areas

Busy during seasonal times, when slow, they have techs with less seniority doing installation jobs, They use scare tactics, and intimidation, retaliation if you go to HR with a problem.

A disaster of a company.

Highly unorganized. Managers suck. Scheduling dept was probably hired from a job fair. Sales reps are uneducated with the equipment they sell, also make false promises to customers that the techs have to live up to or essentially get cursed out by managers.

Selling is good, operations is a challenge

I have almost been here a year selling ADT solutions. It could be a good job if operations didn't make it so challenging. Jobs that are high in dollar amount, could get pulled at the last minute without any communication to the customer (which should be first), and not letting the rep know about it. It is tough to get paid on a job you sold 5 weeks later. My sales manager is fantastic, but has to much put on her plate. That leads to lack of support for her department.

Pros

Good support from sales manager when she isn't overwhelmed. Good balance for work and personal life.

Cons

Working with operations, not paid for a job sold in a timely manner.
